Ritual Is Really Bad

Ritual is absolutely abhorrent in this game. So many maps have such an excess of clutter, and usually rituals spawn in the middle of super cluttered areas where you get crowded in and stuck in corners with no exits. This is by far one of the worst mechanics in the game as of right now. They are barely playable, and it's unacceptable. I trust GGG, and I'm sure they are cooking, but a massive ritual overhaul had better be part of the recipe. |

I just leveled up from 94 to 95 exclusively on t15+ maps with rituals. Still didn't find a single Audience With The King. Rituals placement is terrible, mobs density is horrible, arena size is inadequate, rewards are laughable. |

they should move away from click and get locked + wait system.
Why breach is good because you can leave the breach anytime you want when it is finished. Getting locked in a stupid space with a crazy tornado that 1 shot with thousands of chaos damage. it is very stupid . Unless your build energy shield you wont survive. |

Part of me wouldn't be surprised if Ritual was meant to be the high risk, (small chance of) high reward league mechanic. Some of the most valuable items in the game are found as Ritual rewards: Omens (especially Whittlings) and Audience. This means that no matter how awful the Ritual spawn is, you're incentivized to do it anyway because high-end crafting and some of the most powerful items in the game are gated behind the purple slime stimming video that is Ritual.

Yes. The tight spaces are abhorrent. Also, I think it's out of place in PoE2 aspired for combat philosophy.
You want one shot, dodge or die mechanics? Great, sounds fun. You want enemies to actually feel like made from flesh and blood by giving them a huge hitbox? Great, makes sense too. So you teach players throughout the campaign and endgame to be very aware of their placement and how to navigate around mobs and bosses. Incredible, that's quite interesting gameplay. But then you force players to fight in such tight corners that all the huge hitboxes makes them incapable of dodging anything and incapable of even barely controlling their placement. That is awkward. I think as someone said, this could be a side effect of having more or less shipped the mechanic as is from PoE1. But this is just awkward, there is no other word. |

I swear Ritual is coded to spawn with as little space as humanly possible, in maps like Steppe, Slick, Oasis, Sandspit, ive had Rituals spawn hard up against corners, mountains, terrains, ect, like 3/4 of them, and to make matters worse, it'll always be against something like Rats, so if you dont 1 shot the mob that spawns, its all over.
HOWEVER, i can deal with that, what i can't deal with, is Chaotic plants, unleashing 6+ balls into a tiny area, which youy can't see because the screen is cluttered with other animations, dodging for your life, only for a Treant, or Armadillo, or a Rolly Poly rock man to slam into you at Mach 77, pushing you back into a pack of chaos orbs you've just avoided. |
