Long feedback on act 1-3 zones/layouts after leveling multiple characters.

I read your post.

How I interpret it is that you don't enjoy exploring and that you just want to speed through everything.

Not that that's a bad thing but not everyone wants to move Mach 5 through a zone. I enjoy the slower pace.

There are build where you can move faster toward endgame which makes more sense. In-terms of leveling and progressing through acts, naaa speeding things up would ruin the feel of PoE 2.

(Also not everyone wants an indicator for something, that's like having your hand held most of the time, I like the unknown)

You clearly didn't read all my replies here though. This genre isn't for exploring, you repeat the same loop multiple hundreds of times, you see everything in the first playthroughs so there is no worth in exploring after that. You don't find anything new or interesting after the first couple times so all the massive zones do it make you spend more time aimlessly wandering around collecting the needed waypoints and back tracking and searching for the optional stuff that give perma boosts and that's it. There is nothing fun in that after the first couple times and as you run through it more it gets worse and worse.

And I'll say it again an indicator doesn't need to be a massive arrow, in zone themed things that are missable but recognizable after realizing what they are is more in tune with what I'm asking. The first zone after town is great it has the burrower trail that leads to the den, has voice lines from a distance that lead to the ice witch and the exit is on the opposite side of where you start. In poe1 the grain gate has corpses by doors of buildings that if you follow them lead to the gemling legion and then the exit. There a few more but the fact is the bigger and more spread out the zones are with small things and exits you need to find dotted all over the map not having literally any pointers to send you in the right direction makes no sense. There is no "Unknown" you know what's there, you just need to spend 5-10 minutes looking for it in a massive zone and then back track to find the other things you already know are there.

I also never said give movement speed in my post so I don't understand why you mention end game fast builds or the like, I was saying to reduce zone sizes.

A massive amount of time spent in poe2's campaign is aimlessly walking around massive zones, it isn't fun or engaging and them adding optional stuff you will skip because it isn't worth doing wont fix that. That time spent walking has no impact on the "feel" of poe2.
