Lunaris temple level 2 bad drops?

your running the same map 80 times in row ?? just to find a virtual item with no worth ? holy cow...... crazy what some people do with their lifetime. !!

but i wish you luck for the next 80 runs !! i know you get an exalted !! i saw it in my dreams

Haha, its not as bad as it sounds. I even got to get up for a glass of water or two during my 100-120 test runs over 6h or so :)

I maintain my hypothesis that this area drops bad unless someone has other experiences with similarly sized samples.

Even today i get garbage there still but other areas i get better, even though i am sure kill more monsters in lunaris 2. I guess they didn't want it to outshine lunaris 3 :)

Off topic, but I forgot this one, an act of the rng god:

And can't resist the temptation of posting this:

Finding a 6L : O

I wonder how much did this happen in the game : o I think it's rarer than a mirror ^^

Seriously? I of course knew it was extremely rare, but not that much. I though that half of the 6l were found at least, considering how hard it is to make one with fusings (and considering there's quite a few 6 links on the market).

Don't farm for lvl 66 maps. Buy a few of them for 1 alch each. Then alch them, run them, and I can guarantee after you've run all 5, you'll have at LEAST 10 maps in your inventory, and you'll never need to buy more maps or farm act 3 zones for them again.

My suspicion still stands and hasn't been disproven yet.

The more you run a specific area, the less you find. Period.

It's like the game knows.

I notice it when farming bosses, I notice it in docks, I notice it in lunaris.

first few runs seem okay, then it takes a nosedive as long as I continue to farm that specific area over and over again without breaking it up whatsoever.

For example.

1. Merveil
2. Dock run
3. Merveil
4. Dock run
5. Merveil

Always seems a little more forgiving than

1. Merveil
2. Merveil
3. Merveil
4. Merveil
5. Merveil

or

1. Dock run
2. Dock run
3. Dock run
4. Dock run
5. Dock run

Diablo 2 was the exact same way imo although mfing in that game was insanely easy because of an actual good and useful teleport function.
GGG gives me Diablo 2 Teleport? I give them 50 bucks. No questions asked.

I honest to god would not at all be surprised if there was some sort of diminishing returns mechanic in place; GW2 has one in place to discourage farming in the same area over and over.

If it was the case in Diablo 2, we would clearly know it since all the mechanics have been elaborately analyzed in (under?) every aspect. It was not the case in Diablo 2, or the biggest players would not have farmed daily the countess/Baal 500 times in a row. In this game I don't know, but imo it's the same than in Diablo 2.

In Pink's thread about repeat farming of Fellshrine it was alluded to that a system might be in place which gives an instance in individual IIR/Q favouritism to specific items for the duration of a specific period of time. So for one hour you'd be more likely to find Alchemies but in the next hour you'd be more likely to find Jewellers. Someone suggested WoW uses this method to help create a sense of variety.

I have to say, my experience is that my second run of an instance always 'seems' poorer than my first, but if I jump around a bit to other areas it's not so bad.
What I don't understand, is if there's really a diminushing mechanic return in POE, why GGG does not say it on the forums? If the objective of this mechanic is to force players to farm in different places, why would they let us farm in the same place for one or two years before we clearly discover that mechanic? It's not like if they were not communicating a lot with the community.

And in the following thread, Chris says:

"
Many players like to grind The Docks before heading into Maps. We're completely happy for grinding areas to exist - it's fun to have some relatively mindless play options when you don't want to have to pay close attention to surviving difficult Map content. In addition, it's nice to have play options that let you accumulate wealth without spending any (Maps are expensive to craft correctly). Grinding the Docks isn't totally safe though - we frequently see dangerous boss combinations kill players.

I agree, I have noticed it too. Could be rng but appears tampered with.

Indeed, i have always noticed this in wow, didn't know anyone else felt the same until now. I haven't however farmed enough to notice it here yet, and if it was true it would be possible to hit "golden veins" if you get a good repeated period in the same area, which i haven't noticed any of yet.

Maybe they don't want the give away the specific details so botters can't work around them at highest efficiency.

Then, why do the players who know the most this game farm Fellshrine, Docks or Sarn non stop for 15 levels to gear themselves?

I'm gonna stop here, keep convincing yourselves...
