Trial of Sekhemas is just unfair and not fun at all

Sekhemas is one of the best parts of this game. I really hope GGG don't decide to pander to the userbase on this.
I never see anyone do Sekhemas just for fun...

Just make classic mini quest with 4 bosses for ascension.

Do something GGG this Ascension is the worst thing to do in this game and it's a basic need for every build !
Sekhemas is one of the worst parts of this game. I really hope GGG finally decides to pander to the userbase on this..

Sekhemas is boring and unfun as hell. If its only one floor...ok...if it has to be. But why I am forced to do more than one floor to get my asc points? Why do i have to waste time with such boring nonsense? Who really thought he deserves an oscar for such a decision? Uninspiring and annoying as hell.

Oh yeah lets gather infinite afflictions over 4 floors....to.....t-to.....t-t-to have fun. Especially melee classes have soooooo much fun with that... Sooooo much fun. Why not also add some instance crashes to the game? Oh you already did? Nice. Yeah its even more fun to get thrown out in the middle of a trial...and why not just start this boring mess all over again from the start?

Yeah, yeah, sure, sure...ofc, yeah. Absolutely... Time of my life.
for shapeshifters and non evasion characters the trial of sekhemas is definitely unfair.
That and the fact that you SHARE HONOR with teammates is absolutely bs
you get hit and lose so much honor its ridiculous and for shapeshifters its nearly immposible to dodge with such large character models

Yes an another complain to this trial, but it really really REALLY deserve it.

Every second I spent in this trial I was reminded of how absolutely NOT FUN it was. But I really wanted to get to the end and do the final boss, but I've reached the point where I'll never do this trial again until there's a patch that completely nerf it down or a full rework.

The highlight was the Time trial, I did it once with the anti-poison charm because of the scorpion, but I got one-shotted without understanding why in a room where I had to survive. At first I thought it was because a monster froze me, so I thought I'd try again with the anti-frost charm this time.

But now I understand what the problem was, since I died the same way with the anti-frost charm and 9500 energy shield. It's the rare monster with an hourglass that loads up lots of balls and sends them all at me, doing well over 7000 damage in one go (my basic energy shield is 5000, but I thought I'd play it safe and boost my defenses with the relics).

And as it's not unfun enough as it is, I'm slowed down by something unknown in the room, making dodging among the other monsters totally impossible.

I don't think I've ever had such a frustrating experience in a video game, and yet I've played so many different games, but this is just the pinnacle of what can be done.

And to add to what's wrong with Trial of the Sekhemas :
- The honor system needs a complete overhaul, it just makes the experience extremely frustrating. I think a good thing would be to link honor to the quantity and rarity of the loot granted, or to be able to remove afflictions at will, or both.

- The Scorpion boss fight needs to be reworked, there are too many traps in the room and there are too few phases where you can do damage. When he goes underground, he should only do so once, not 3 or 4 times in a row. His ranged attack is too fast and his roll attack the hitbox is far too big.

- Obviously, you have to completely nerf the damage of the rare hourglass monster, it's absolutely not normal to take over 7000 damage in one go when my character's only defense is the energy shield and 76% elemental resistance.

- Some room afflictions are far too abused or just not fun. The ones where you can be sent to a room at random, or where you can't see the next rooms, should just be removed. The point is to plan your advance, not that I just ended up at 1 HP because I'm playing with Chaos Innoculation and I was just unlucky enough to come across the affliction that takes away my energy shield.
The movement speed affliction makes the experience unpleasant when it should just make it harder.
There shouldn't be any random afflictions, I should always be able to choose the malus I'm going to get.

I really hope we'll be getting a rework before long, because for me it's just out of the question to set foot in this Trial again at the moment.

I find it dismaying that when ggg is trying their best to make poe2 to be the best arpg, there are so many whiners and crybabies out there complaining about the game.

I see people crying that the mobs are too difficult. Bosses are too hard. Trials are too difficult. It's too troublesome and time consuming to go through act one, act two, act three, act four again. The areas and zones are too big. Too much traveling and walking from place to place. So many complains about this and so many complains about that.

It is also as if all these people are expecting rewards and achievements to instantly drop from the sky by pressing a button. People don't want to face challenges. Peoples don't want to handle difficulties. People don't want to learn the game. People want things to remain the same forever. People want future things to be the same as past things. People cannot handle it when there are changes and when things are too difficult.

My suggestion to all the complainers is that instead of spending time whining and complaining, it would be better that you spend time learning the game. There are many streamers and content providers out there offering to create guides to teach players how to play the game. And it is all free. You don't need to spend money to learn how to play the game. All you need is time, effort and the dedication to do it.

Please stop asking ggg to make the game easier. If the game becomes easier, then it is no better than playing hello kitty online. A lot of players want to play a real arpg. They don't want to play hello kitty online. If you want things to be quick, fast and easy, then why play poe2? Why waste your time and waste everybody's time to complain about game and ask the dev to make the game easier? Why not spend time to improve yourself and gain some knowledge so that you can play the game better?

Sekhemas would be a better 2nd or 3rd trial option.

It's too complex and divisive to be the first ascendency experience for players.
Also it misses the classic roguelike map component of the occasional lucky "free room".

These feel great to find or go for.

Every step being a decision gets exhausting. Pacing is a design consideration.
I don't mind Sekhemas/Chaos up to 3rd ascendancy however I have no desire taking it further beyond. It is not fun and does not respect your time. My biggest issue with them is the threshold level to what would be consider expected of builds. first 3 ascendancies should be Sekhemas, Chaos, and next one (TBD). Then level of two of any of those should be the 4th. Otherwise it would be complete redo/revamp of current system which I dont see being feasible. Probably an unpopular take but I feel this system along with other mechanics drive folks in certain types of builds (e.g. meta). Not saying brainless at all however should not require high arpg brainpower to get through 3 points.

Trials are up there with parrying in my book or raking leaves in my book.
