Rares on the map should have more ways to be revealed.
As far as I understand it all rare enemies in a map are revealed after there is less than 200 enemies alive in an area. It would be nice if there was a few other ways that they could be revealed.
After finding and killing a Boss monster in a map it would be nice to be able to quickly hunt down the rest of the rares. Having rare enemies revealed when over half of them are dead could also be nice. Having the nearest rare enemy revealed after not killing one for a short amount of time could also be nice. I understand that they are not all revealed at once so that players have to explore and overcome the rest of the map to find them, but streamlining the process in moderation could be nice. Agreed. Maybe not all, but the next nearest Rare, so we don't have to sometimes exhaust all rooms

For real. I think once you come within a certain distance of a rare monster, it should be revealed on the minimap.

They're not just revealed are they? You can clear a large part of the map and then towards the end it seems to spawn rares in places you've already been, forcing you to backtrack sometimes a distance.
That's the part that annoys me. But yeah I've wondered why not show a count of the last say, 5 rares, but not spawn them after the fact. |

Maps need a redesign. Most of them shrunk considerably. I'm not saying they should all be long hallways or whatever, but it is far too easy for rares to spawn tucked away in some deadend. Players have come to recognize what leads to a deadend and they skip it, because backtracking sucks. And the game somehow manages to make the one place you do skip have a rare.

How about no more rare monster hunt as the ONLY way to complete a map. Good lord the atlas is so absolute trash right now

Maps would be so much more fun if... ok the lists way to long but this instance a proper single boss in each map rather than 4-15 yellows that you normally kill off screen or by aoe and don't even notice they're "rare"
Can't be that hard to come up with a couple of dozen monsters, players can probably start a thread. Most of the mechanics are pretty similar at this point, sadly lol |
