4th ascendancy trial is ridiculous
" +1 They are too Random to be fair and the 3rd and 4th ones require one to farm a key / token for ONE attempt. Far too over-tuned |

" You can do it with 0 movement speed.. Take the orb furthest away from other orbs first and the orbs that are close to each other last as that is when you are the slowest. |

I think it would be fair if you had to run it 3 times for one trialmaster fight. But right now it's pure rng what fragment you will get,(i think it depends on what boss you get as the last boss?) and it's just no fun to get unlucky forever..

In addition to the points that I agree with this topic.. there is one detail, you can probably only do 4 ascendances if you have some equipment and relics and if you reach lvl85+. If you think about it, this doesn't make any sense... I never liked poe1's Lab but now I see how poe1's Lab is easy to do with any build and doesn't slow down your lvl progression and your character's strength... I I have 2 lvl 85+ characters in poe2 and I didn't waste my time making this content to get the 4th ascendancy.. due to the stress, I prefer at the moment to have 2 points less of my ascension

" The slow is dictated by how long you take not by how many orbs you pick up. The distance traveled (and time taken) is mostly the same regardless of whether you pick up a cluster first or last. You cannot do the fight with 0 movement speed unless you get very lucky with the orb layouts that spawn. Dernière édition par Olovander#1461, le 6 janv. 2025 à 08:16:49

The Maven and Uber Elder on POE1 are pretty difficult to kill on your own too. Speaking of league start of course. Most players just buy a boss carry on TFT or wherever else they sell them.
Same thing will happen with these trials. It's not like people will be playing with 4 or 6 ascendancy points forever. If the trial is too hard they'll just shell out some currency and get it done that way. |

Started POE 2 almost completely blind as I wanted to avoid any spoilers. So I was initially pleasantly surprised to see the manner in which they revamped how you get ascendancy points.
I never played the sanctum nor ultimatum league so at first I really enjoyed doing the 1st and 2nd trials as it was a breath of fresh air. All this faltered upon my attempt at the last ascendancy. Main issue was the last boss. When he stops time and you have to walk through the mini hourglasses or your run ends. Not only is that a rather asinine mechanic, its unfair as well as you seem to get a debuff slowing you down by quite a lot. However what caused my run to fail was that 1 hourglass was right at the end of the arena and it was covered by a mirror which I walked right by. I only noticed I missed it (and it was by a mere inch), when the blasted mirror despawned and it was too late to backtrack. It was so disheartening that I stopped playing after that as it took me about an hour to get to that point. |

" Sekhemas isn't in too bad a spot. Once you get some good relics you don't need to focus as much on survival and focus on boons/sacred water instead. This effect lets you snowball rather effectively and also allows you to complete the trial more quickly. You can still get completely fucked by RNG. I had a run with 2 full columns of boons but no ornate dagger, hares leg or sanguine vial and my 4 afflictions were no evasion, 40% less damage, worn sandals, and I ended up dying to a random no ES(I'm playing CI so getting it set my max honour to 1 and insta killed me). Still, if you play your cards right this is an exception rather than the rule. I play flicker strike monk, but since maintaining power charges is quite difficult when there aren't many enemies I actually use basic attacks for the majority of the trial. |

I enjoyed getting 4th ascendancy by Chaos Trial. Took a lot of attempts, died by Trialmaster first time, killed him with the second attempt. Was quite fun overall.
