poe2filter.com - A PoE 2 custom loot filter generation website

Thank you for all the hard work! I started using it during the last league in PoE1 and it realy saved me allot of time to set things up. Going to wait a bit for the poe2 one when I can select the druid :D.

You mean support for the new league? Coming real soon! The filter is already done for a while, but I'm still laying the final hand on those anniversary-surprises I mentioned before :)

with all due respect to NeverSink, your site is much more intuitive and it's easier for them to create filters. as a beginner, it's much easier for me to use your website than the NeverSink website.

0.4 Support released!

Somehow you managed to make the main, Quick Filter page harder to understand...

Which is "Hide" filter category, which is "Show", which is "Additional Highlight"...? Then you have a "Show what you want" filter, but after that you also have "Hide remaining equipment"..

Makes no sense for me..

It's a bit of a paradigm switch.

Either through the 'Leveling Gear' section or later though 'My Equipment', you specify what you're looking for in particular.

In the 'Other Gear' section, any other generally valuable gear will be shown or highlighted.

And then finally, you decide what to do with 'remaining equipment' -- typically you won't care about remaining gear at all; for jewellery you can decide to to hide based on rarity.

The difference between 'show' and 'highlight' indeed got largely removed -- it depends on how valuable you think the equipment is, you can easily decide yourself if you only just want something to be 'shown', or rather if you would like it to be highlighted.

Have you tried the tutorial? Hope you'll get used to it! I've been using this for weeks while developing, playing PoE1,... and once used to it I really can't go back to the previous version! Hope it'll be the same for you!

It`s literally like scratching your right ear with the left hand. Totally unintuitive.

Before it was much easy to follow. Just Hide what you don`t want to see and that`s it (really like it should be).

Now, for example, I struggled to make the flasks visible. I`ve unchecked everything and they still don`t show on the ground... Incredible.

I`m so annoyed!! You spend a lot of time customizing then an update like this comes and ruins all your work..

I`ve switched to FilterBlade. At least they seem consistent.

My advice, if you want to keep this new "paradigm", then you should at least have clearer tab names. IF they SHOW, then say they SHOW. IF are DYNAMIC, specify that as well (I remember you it was much clearer last time with the dynamic flasks thing, depending on area lvl).

Then, if possible, just add another "Simple" view, more in line with what you had before, for those like me who just want to hide a few things and only focus on Cosmetics.

Hey, thanks for the feedback.

Indeed that was the approach before: hide what you don't want to see, and then make (a lot of) 'exceptions' to that.

But I felt that in reality, you quickly just want to hide everything, and just show a) the equipment you're particularly looking for, for upgrades, b) general valuable equipment, to trade.

Also, before, it was a bit arbitrary what I considered an 'exception' which would just be 'shown', vs what I considered a 'highlight'. Also how they were divided into different sections was rather arbitrary; many people struggled to find and understand it.

Hmm, is it possible you had 'Leveling Flasks' still enabled, under the 'League Start' -> 'Leveling Items' section?

Before, indeed, 'Automatically hide Flasks based on Area Level', and was in the Flaks section. But now that I also added the similar concept for gear, and in the future I'll probably add similar rules for jewellery & even currency, I felt like it made more sense to group these 'leveling settings' together.

I'll admit I've never been entirely sure about how to call these though. Would it have been clearer if I call them 'Auto-Leveling' instead of just 'Leveling'? Or 'Dynamic Leveling'?

Well, that's what the 'presets' tab is supposed to do...

Really sorry that it's caused you this much frustration and sorry to see you leave! Thanks for the feedback though, it's really valuable, I need fresh pairs of eyes to avoid blind spots. It's what I did the beta period for, but admittedly that was way too short. It's been a real struggle to get it ready before 0.4...
