Yeah, very fun man. This game is just for fans of Ruthless and Souls games. If someone want to chill he needs to start POE1 not this trash that wanted to be "exile like".

I dont know why people associate poe2 with souls games. Not one shotting mobs = souls-like i guess. The difdiculty is good. We just need the game to speed up a little from act to act.

" Correct me if I'm wrong, but players do, in fact, one/two shot trash mobs in Souls games, don't they? |

The comparison is likely due to paying careful attention boss movements and sounds during a fight and making heavy use of the dodge roll. If you like games like Dark Souls, then this is probably not a big deal, but if you're the type of person that doesn't play these games, and was put off by FF7 Remake adding parries and dodges to what was supposed to be a turn-based games, and other examples of genre changes like that, it is totally valid for players not to like this game change and compare it to a Souls games. Also, another comparison is traversing the map again with the enemies respawning - that's part of the Souls formula too. It's just not as punishing with the experience loss, but that's about the only major difference beyond the isometric perspective and the ARPG gameplay that results from that vs 3rd person perspective.

" the issue is it does not have an identity. it is no longer poe, it is a want to be dark souls loosly based on the wraeclast fantasy land. the story is mid, the combat is mid, the graphic detail and sound are AAA, the maps and campaign areas from what i have seen are also mid and remind me of the crap shovelled by d4. I would always still enjoy the campaign each season in PoE1 usually get 2 characters 2 red maps and recently to 2 voidstone. derinitely not that same feeling this time. |

Souls formula is good. Ruthless is bad.
Bosses and boss fights are awesome in this game. But its not rewarding at all, and dont give you any progression. Seem like game wants you to farm one location for hundreds of time for nothing, which just sicks. Ruthless 2 BAD. Dernière édition par PAKplay#2465, le 8 déc. 2024 08:45:35

Difficulty of the mobs is not the issue, for me it's more a question of getting enough loot to tweak and try a few more things in combination with the skill tree. I don't feel like I can try enough until I find a combination that works because there is just no loot and since the trade market is not open it makes it quite complicated. I like struggling with a hard game but only if there is option I can actually change something and try again. Trying again and again the same thing without material improvements is not much fun on the long run.
TLDR: Ok with the difficulty, give us more options with the loot and equipment Dernière édition par Giboon#0630, le 8 déc. 2024 08:42:50

POE2 is (unnecessarily) harder than Dark Souls, and here’s why:
I've played both Dark Souls and Path of Exile 2, and honestly, POE2 feels way more difficult and frustrating. The main reason? It adds an extra layer of complexity with its mechanics. In Dark Souls, you "just" need to master combat, enemy patterns, and positioning. In POE2, if you don’t fully understand the math behind the game—damage scaling, resistances, skill interactions—you’ll get punished hard. The first Path of Exile was already tough, but this one? If you don’t min-max properly, good luck surviving. |
