Positioning, timing, understanding enemy and bosses. All too much for the audiences of today.

GGG, I hope you keep the current pace and difficulty. I love it. PoE1 wasn't for me, D3 and D4 wasn't for me. This is exactly how I imagined an ARPG to be. It is marvelous. Every time I die, I don't think "unfair" but rather "let me approach this differently and more carefully". I think about whether I should farm and optimize or not. The campaign should not be a walk in the park. The slow pace is amazing and makes encounters tough, rather than zooming around bombarding groups that die in 2 hits.

As the crowd did with D4 and PoE1('s endgame at least) whenever one wished back the difficulty and pacing of Diablo 2, here's the UNO reverse card: "If you want PoE1, go play PoE1."

These things might matter if the game wasn't a complete mess.

no one ever equated a fun game to "positioning, timing, understanding enemy bosses".

The game is flat out a chore (boring).

It's a dumb down version of PoE1, with updated graphics.

It kept the bad parts, and removed the good sadly...

The people that say they enjoy the bosses, ask them how many times they're willing to fight them again lol... I can guarantee they're all one and done.

The end game atlas is a massive dumbdown worse version of maps in PoE1...

PoE2 got a lot of big problems...

Clearly you have never played a Soulslike......

You don't really need any of that in POE2.
For 90% of the encounters use this strategy:
1) Fire two attacks
2) Circle walk around the boss
3) Press spacebar
4) Repeat ad nauseum

It is not really difficult, but rather a boring slug

shhhhh

dont tell them the truth.

they dont like it when you do that.
Well, this is easily the worst Path of Exile ever. xD

In almost every aspect.

Cheers.
I disagree I think both games are good but I enjoy POE2 gameplay more.

I do admit there are a few things that I like more about POE1.

cooler trap dungeons.

the art for orbs and skill gems looked cooler.

the big ritual totem, that spawned more smaller totems was a cooler mechanic than just spawning mobs.

some of the clean and lavish map designs in poe1 are really cool.

I think poe2 is overusing the tribal theme, in poe1 in the story it seemed more like the outdoor tribes were vikings.

I do agree that the game IS sluggish, movement (such as the details of sprint and lack of other mobility) feels bad while they put so much emphasis on the details. Too much details for their own sake because you have to micromanage the living hell out of your movement (which GGG actually doesn't want?! So Jonathan said in an interview).
When will they finally make sprint feel better and also not get you heavy stunned after a single hit? Jesus, at least make it build up a heavy stun quickly or sth, but ONE hit? Not even Dark Souls punishes you getting hit while sprinting like that, let that sink in.
Rubberbanding, desync and monster pushiness are some of the most annoying issues since EA launch

The problem I see with this is the same as always: NO BALANCE OF BUILDS, only 3 or 4 work.
i didnt get it ...

99% of all game are norrow passages. maps also. they have a real obsseion for bad content, norrow passages are dog shit.
try a pathfinder. you can sprint into monsters like a dingaling and be as fast as you want
