Mercenary is a slow, clunky, terrible mess of a class

I'm suffering from the reload bug and can't shoot and am getting overwhelmed by mobs all the time.
Really enjoying the class apart from that, but I need to be able to shoot. Seems to get stuck on the reload animation
It's the crossbow that is a problem, not the mercenary as he not lock with other weapon type.

The Crossbow now it a mass of 2 more extra delay to use, namely reload speed and ammo swap speed. Not include random delay between shot, after reload, interrupt reload that other weapon didn't have. It's not fluid and flow to play unless you try to bash your head a lot to get it to work.
Slow in, slow out cuz I'm just a player.

Im enjoying the vibe but iv swapped to the Monk because when I hit a button he then doest the thing.

I like the design of the reloads for different abilities but I think I need 2 things.

1. is a reload bar UI. like synthetic, outside of the animation and the sound (both get lost in a hectic fight), I have no idea when I'm locked and loaded to start shooting.

2. less firing delay. now I'm not sure if there are perks down the line that fix this but currently at lvl 25ish on act 2 I find I'm always pushing the hell out of my left mouse button with the inner monkey in my brain screaming "WHY YOU NO SHOOT"

it's proving to be a frustrating experience.
Grenades do everything: its better at clearing trash mobs, CCing the boss/mob, doing real damage, no reload animation, all grenades have their own separate cds.


Buffs I would like to see:

Reloading not be interrupted by rolling.

1 Button to cycle shot types.

Autoreload all my shot bullets if i'm out of combat for more than 3 seconds.

Shooting not causing my character to slow down, you can drop the accuracy and call it sway/recoil while moving.

Shot gun should knock down mobs at point blank letting me run/roll over them while they are down to escape.

Machine gun/Sniper Rifle - I donno what to do with these, they both are the same as the basic attack: faster but weaker, slower but harder. In both cases the damage pails in comparison to the grenade.

Rocket Launcher - Its purpose is to detonate the grenades, if you screw up your grenade rotation. i guess maybe attach grenades to this to make it into a real missile, but grenades are already OP.

Turrets - Instead of duration, give them ammo capacity, and you get an indicator when it runs out of ammo, you have to go run back to it to reload or something.

I like the class is very fun. I see a lot of suggestions to ruin it imo.
In 2.7 Acts I found only 3 bosses that I was not able to beat them on first try.

All you need is solid build and weapon and Mercenary just blow everything up, leveling is super easy.

Explosive Shot + Explosive Grenade + Gas Grenade ... GG
Im doing a frost only merc lvl 74 and I think the only solution is to drop the crossbow and get a bow for frost damage. Kinda lame actually. No Boss damage unless I go lightning but that's stupid... Might as well grab a bow again.
Your build sucks. Make a new build.

Merc is very slow tedious to play I play with mouse controls and my wrist hurts playing, the class would be fun if they remove reload or give more ammo maybe add a modifier for crossbow for reload speed
