POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

Jup....same here. After the 0.1.0e Hotfix my game started crashing as well. Had absolutely no issues before.

Welcome to the club, my condolences for your game..
You gave me a flashback.. when i had the crash the very first time, after having absolutely no issues for hundreds of hours playing, just like u said.. It's a mix of feelings.

I just crashed at chracter select screen and it froze my PC while using PoE Uncrasher. My PC has never froze using PoE uncrasher until now. My hopes are dwindling.

Battle encoder Shirasé works for me. in -4% cpu usage. I use poe-uncrasher and CPU 0 and 1 unseted.

No more crashes after that. And there is a nvidia fix update. the 566.45

GUYS THIS MESSAGE IS DEDICATED TO EVERYONE WHO REALLY WANTS TO PLAY THIS AMAZING GAME AND TRY NEW PATCH BUT CAN'T BECAUSE OF THIS INSANE BUG

I'm with ya guys, struggling already for a good month. THE ONLY SOLUTUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME PERSONALLY is setting game's affinity in task manager by disabling CPU 0 and 1 (prevents hard crashes, game still crashes on loading screens but u can USUALLY kill the process) PLUS (!!) turn off engine multithreading BEFORE u face a loading screen and turn it back on once ur map is loaded (this prevents crashes for me COMPLETLY).

2 days without a single crash. 3h in new patch without a crash.

I know this is A LOT of hassle and I absolutely think GGG SHOULD MAKE THIS ISSUE A TOP PRIORITY WITH 2 BY FAR BIGGEST THREADS ON THIS FORUM,

Wow now it even hard freezed with PoEUncrasher running. This patch made things even worse...

Second hard crash in a row. PoEUncrasher is running, 1. and 2. CPU cores are unchecked. This is really worse than before the patch. I can't believe it. It was running "okay" the last few weeks.

It is a fact that POE2 causes high load, but I have a feeling that the freezing is caused by the PC itself rather than POE2.
As I wrote here earlier I have a 7800x3d, 4080 tuf, 48GB expo ram.
Freezing was a problem for me which was eventually solved by poeuncrasher. Then fix 0.1.0f started to do it again with poeuncrasher. Although significantly less, but still.
Then I changed the PBO to auto (previous neg. 15 curve), which caused higher temperature, lower frequency, but the game runs for 2 days straight without a single crash.
As for 24h2, that's a chapter in itself that does similar things to AAA titles, I'll mention ubisoft.
Personally I would try on pc furmark + prime95 and watch the error rate. Quite often the problem is the power supply itself, which can't handle the power spike.

It probably won't help everyone, but better than nothing.

I've been in this thread numerous times with attempts to fix this issue over the last 3 weeks.

As of yesterday, with the mid-cycle Windows 11 update KB5050009, I am no longer experiencing full system freezes requiring a restart.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X at stock speed.
MSI B550 Gaming Plus w/ 1.I0 BIOS
64GB 3400MHz
RTX 3060Ti on 566.36

I upgraded early yesterday evening and have played three separate multi-hour, zone, and character sessions using Vulkan.

The only thing I haven't tried yet is PoE1, which was doing the same thing.
