Hard crashing PC locks up

What doesn't help is that the forum community managers appear to have merged many [hard lock - crash - bsod] issues into this thread and it is likely doing a disservice in our attempts to troubleshoot the issue.

Unfortunately the freeze affects other OSes, so it's definetly we have some complex and broken logic on low level layer shared both for Windows 10, 11 (and NT variant for the XBOX) and some Linux systems. |

I will eloborate quickly on how to fix this.
I have already posted a solution post on forum, you can find it here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3692665 Basically, you cannot fix this error if you are on Windows. It is a hardware specific issue, but it is not caused by faulty hardware. It is a kernel issue, it happens very deep in the system. Not every CPU is prone to this, and disabling XMP can somewhat help in prolonging gameplay (but you will lose alot of performance on AMD). Fx. my 4790k does not have this issue, even with a very high overclock to 4.9 and 2133mhz DDR3 ram. My 5700X3D cannot play this game on Windows. On steamOS, runs butter smooth + has true shader caching so your shader bar never moves. TLDR: Install Linux or accept crashes. SteamOS exists. Take the plunge. Edit: X3D CPUs seem to be more prone to these issues, somehow. " well to be fair THAT IS NOT what they are talking about it's 2 different things. you have crashes to desktop and HARD FREEZE LOCK UP pc it's even happening to people on previus windows and linux, if you don't have the problem... get lost you don't know shat of what we are talking about. |

Duuuuuuuuude. When I have a problem with Call Of Duty I don't have to learn how to debug my computer to get it to work. When I have an issue with Excel I don't have to disable cores on my PC and hope for some official fix from Microsoft at some point. We PAID for early access and were SOLD a broken product. Take a hike.
