Will we need PS+ to play POE2 on PS5?

As a general rule, Free to Play games do not need PS+ for online play, but all others do.

While PoE2 is in beta, it costs to play (you have to buy a beta key). Thus it requires PS+.

I'm a little bit surprised that you can't play SSF without PS+, but I guess the definition is "online" rather than "multiplayer", and Path of Exile (both 1 & 2) is always online-only.

Once the "full release" of PoE2 happens (likely version 1.0), the game will be free to play, and will no longer require PS+.
