The two things I'd look to change asap are getting mana recoup crafted on amulet (can drop once you catalyze rings) and changing your flasks around. Flasks are one of our primary forms of defense and while going double evasion flasks isn't terrible, it will mean you're going to get randomly one shot from time to time. Personally, I prefer topaz/ruby/sapphire which also helps with capping resistances for Annihilating Light until you can afford progenesis (this is what makes you tanky late game) and the other unique flasks. Also this build will randomly get one shot from time to time, shouldn't happen more than once every few juiced maps and pretty much never in alch and go t16s but large physical damage hits are very dangerous. I like farming delirium mirrors, but most mapping centric content will be pretty smooth (i.e. boxes, wisps, stacked deck etc.).
Here is my pob
https://pobb.in/x5mUrrPZ-_F-
I have that bismuth with additional ele res on it capping my resistances, so I figured might as well spend the rest of the flasks on evasion.
As for the amulet, I catalyzed rings so hopefully that is fine.
...but the loop now has a high chance of killing me. I'm trying to swap to curse skills (upgrade #21) setting off the loop instead of soulrend/eye of winter. What am I doing wrong here?
EDIT: After dying more times than I can count, and tossing about 20 div into this build, I am putting it to rest. I die in yellows, cannot complete reds, have 0 voidstones, and next upgrade (nine lives) costs 100 divines. I really want to like this build, but it is far too random. I also cannot suggest based on the lack of upgrade info, with the 'upgrades' sections being far too vague and non-descriptive. I think calling this a 'league-starter' is a stretch.

I think you're just lacking a little bit of hp, at about 3.8k i was fine while starting the loop, make sure the quicksilver flask is always on, you don't need to get nine lives necessarily as your next upgrade, I went for everything else but progenesis and nine lives. You can also add RF for damage once the loop is stabilized.I'm doing ultimatums on rare T16, mods to avoid are reduced life recovery rate and a high-roll -max res, here's my pob for reference:

Thanks for the info. I may come back to the character after I've gotten more out of the league. Having put so much effort in and not even getting to reds after all that time was bumming me out, so once I've finished with my current build I'll try again. It makes me miss my old Ward Looper...

Just killed kitava with this sabo attempt, lots of trial and error (/deaths = 133), 0 math or optimisation:
https://pobb.in/T0Gg4UOM-9vL
trying to emulate league start scenario so bare minimum, what made it actually playable for me after getting the essentials listed in the guide was getting life over 3k, helped out by %life as well as recoup on all jewels and then the eldritch implicits on chest.
to start my loop i double tap weapon swap and then activate the two auras in my main hand whilst spamming life flasks
mine is so poorly optimised i think a good version would slap
Thanks OP good build

Hey guys! Can this build be transitioned to use Arc as damaging spell? With different ascendancy and tree i guess. Could you suggest something?

It could, though the damage will be significantly worse. You'll probably go elementalist and would want a secondary skill that scales similarly to arc to also put in Kitava's Thirst (maybe Crackling Lance or Ball Lightning).

Are you sure it actually works in patch 3.27?
I’ve got the same gear as you - actually slightly better stats, with some of the high-budget items - Kitava's Thirst It doesn’t seem to work!
I don’t get what’s missing.
Petrified Blood at 20/0?

You're using a higher level CWDT, that's going to at least halve your trigger rate (might be worse since the loops might not align anymore). It might look like each minion death causes you to take 700 damage, but you have some armour (from Kitava's Thirst, made worse by having it at 20% quality) and need to account for that. This is why you have to run a lower quality CWDT taken than you might otherwise expect and need to quality CWDT and catalyze the Heartbound Loops as soon as it's feasible.
Also need to fix flasks, they're pretty important defensively and running 1 utility flask instead of 3 is going to feel much worse.

This is a pretty good summary, only other thing I'd note is that you definitely want to get the unique flasks before you try and save up for Nine Lives.

Biggest problem here seems to be having a flask in the fifth slot, that's going to make your flask sustain a lot worse (since The Traitor won't regenerate flask charges). Second thing I'd note is that those rings aren't catalyzed which is going to hurt both your mana and life recoup. Final thing I'd probably change is getting physical damage taken as elemental on body armour (do the previous upgrade first otherwise you might not deal enough self-damage).
