[3.25] Ice Dancing Queen - Icestorm/Cyclone/CI - Viable For Everything
JFC. I thought I knew how to craft but that's next level nearly-deterministic crafting. Well done coming up with that! Thanks a lot for laying out the details.
------------- CORRECTION to my previous edit -- I forgot I already had a suffix used, the fractured T1 int. ------------- Looking carefully at craft of exile, you want to hit T1 ev/es and T1 %inc ev/es %inc stun/block, so you are able to craft %inc ev/es on it. So the optimal process appears to be: 1. Use dense until you hit the 2 prefixes above. Settle for T2 if you're running low on currency. If you have 3 prefixes, eldritch annul suffixes then hope you hit the 1/3 chance to annul the prefix you don't want. If you miss, start over. 2. At this point you have 2 good prefixes and 1 fractured suffix. Multicraft, craft %inc ev/es, and 6%. Now you have full affixes. You can stop at this point, or if you need resists or a free suffix, then Eldritch annul. If you lose the multicraft, just slam an exalt and cross your fingers. If you lose the 6%, just recraft it and try the eldritch annui again. Alternatively, if you're not doing the crit build, craft aspect of the spider instead of slamming an exalt for even more control. That seems to be the only optimal approach as there is not a %inc ev/es %inc stun block craft available. You still need to get 6 blue and also 6L it, so it all adds up to a few divines. Still the only way to get something like that as nothing that good ever seems to appear on trade. Then you get to play with lesser and exceptional ichors and orbs of conflict to get a T2 defensive implicit. --------------------- In summary, the hatred version requires the proper helm enchant and gives you around 20% more damage than the vanilla build. It's also difficult to get the helm. The crit version gives about 2x the damage, but is noticeably squishier, and has the same issue with the helm enchant. A 15% int Black Sun Crest with level 3 enlighten might be a good substitute -- that drops my int and dps by less than 5% over a hunter's orbed helm, so might be a very good substitute earlier. " Here are a couple of things you could do : No budget : - Change your reservation mastery from +aura effect to +dmg per aura. It's going to remove 132 ES, but give you 1.7% dmg. - Add in a second curse. Punishment or Elemental Weakness are the usual choice. It's going to make a big difference. - The three points you put into the top right leech nodes are not very useful. You already have a ton of leech, so the points could be better used elsewhere. As a comparison, it gives you 262 max ES/sec, while one point into Ghost Reaver gives you 2000. Low-mid budget : - Try to fit in Hatred or Aspect of the Spider. There's some discussion earlier about the different options. Aspect will give around 15% increased damage taken and Hatred about 20% more cold damage. You might need to get Enlighten and a Charisma annoint. - Get Unnerve on hit on your gloves instead of +max cold res. It makes a big difference in DPS (10% increased damage taken, so 8-10% more damage). - Get your Awakened and alternate quality gems. It makes a big difference for a few div. - Change Frost Bomb to Anomalous Wave of Conviction. It makes it easier to apply exposure. - Your Watcher's Eye is very defensive. you could (or not, depends on your preference) change it to something more offensive, especially if you fit in Hatred (and open up flat cold damage or cold res penetration). - You can switch Steelwood Stance for Mystic Talents. You lose some defenses, but get 5.3% more damage. High budget : - Your body armour could benefit from an upgrade. Try to get one with +%int and craft on it +6%attr. Adding 16% increased intelligence to your current build is 200 intelligence and 20% more damage. - Get two Forbidden jewels with Opportunistic. - You could get Synthesized rings (they can go up to 7% int on the implicit with 20% quality and get +60-70 flat int instead of the 6% and +28 of Heup of All). - You can get Enlighten lvl4 and fit in Hatred without the Charisma annoint and allocate Mystic Talents instead. - You can get a +10% intelligence helmet instead of +8%. All of this should provide a big boost in damage. Hope that helps! Dernière édition par WinterHiko#1542, le 2 janv. 2023 09:49:01

" Thanks for the reply. A second curse was my next step, when I get a new chest so definitely will do that. I do have ghost reaver on my relic already. Guess I underestimated how much alt q gems does. The High budget options I was aware of but dont have that much currency atm, but your suggestions in the low budget options looks very nice. Thx again. Dernière édition par Esgarrouth#1826, le 2 janv. 2023 15:30:04

@Graiaule
Yes, its almost deterministic craft. Once the INT mod is fractured, the best world shoud be hit 3 T1 Ev+ES preffix or hit 3 near perfect mods, based on your budget, so you can have 100% chance to chose the second suffix and then craft % atributes.. Its a simply craft, but the luck could be the price factor of the investment! Dernière édition par whiterockxx#6367, le 2 janv. 2023 16:41:19

" thanks for this. was able to put this together using your steps need to clean up my belt and rings but do have to say the crit based version seems like it hits a little harder |

" Here are a couple of less pricey updates you could do in the meantime : - Two corrupted Heup of all with 6% increased intelligence implicits shouldn't be too costly and would give you 80% of the power of the synthesized rings. Alternatively, a corrupted +6% int Shavronne's Revelation in the left slot gives you loads of int and ES. - Enlighten + Charisma annoint could let you slot in Hatred, for a 20% more damage. Alternatively, Enlighten and Aspect of the Spider could let you keep Steelwood Stance while still giving a +15% damage taken by enemies. - Your helmet could be upgraded if you rolled +10% int. - A Watcher's Eye should cost under a divine and give you better bonuses than your rare jewel. - A large cluster with Blanketed Snow instead of Widespread Destruction would give you more damage too. - Your curses are slotted with Forstblink. It's a good setup for Sanctum, but for mapping and bossing, Ball Lightning + CWDT is more efficient at applying curses while keeping you mobile. Hope that helps! |

Thanks for the advice!
-Im working on a new cluster jewel right now and it’ll look into the corrupted rings when i get the chance. -What should i look for in a watchers eye? -as for the chest piece is there an updated crafting method for %int chest? |

" Good Watcher Eye mods : %Max mana as ES with Clarity ES gained on hit with Discipline X to X damage with Hatred %elemental penetration with Hatred % of physical taken as element with Purity of Elements Less impressive but still good : ES Regen with Discipline Chance to block spell damage with Discipline Less reflect damage with Purity of Elements Updated Body Armour crafting technique : pain. More seriously, if you want the +12% mod, there two methods I know. Craft then slam, or slam then craft. The first is to craft a piece with two open suffixes and then slam Crusader exalt, hoping for the best for 1/7 odds. Then craft the final +6% attributes. To craft a piece with two open suffixes if none is on sale, you want to use alts until you hit two good ES/EV mods as prefixes, then annul if you have too many suffixes. If you have only two desired prefixes and no suffixes at all, you could craft a third prefix, slam the +12% suffix, then craft "can have 3 crafted modifiers". You'd be able to craft your 6%attr + a final prefix to complete your piece. Never slam with an open prefix, it halves your chances of getting +12% int. The second is slam then craft. Get a good ilvl Crusader-influenced armor with random affixes, either through trade or failing with the first method. Scour and alt until you get +12% int and a T1 ES/EV affix (about 1000 alts). Then you regal and Exalt slam until there's only one suffix open. If the piece is satisfactory, you craft +6%attr and call it a day. If you fill suffixes or the affixes you rolled are crap, annul and pray. Both methods require a lot of clicks and resets. It's the most difficult piece of gear to acquire for this build. Alternatively, if you're willing to sacrifice some DPS for tankiness, you could use the method that was just explained about a page ago, using exarch/eater influences. Instead of +12% int, you're going to get %less dmg per int and another implicit. They're using crit multiplier because they're using a crit-based version of the build, but I think you could roll +1% to max elemental resistances in there if you're going with the traditionnal build. This method is much easier and faster to achieve. |

At 94 and loving this version of the build. My gear is coming along, but still need to get the implicits on my gloves. Just haven't had luck hitting them yet. Cold exposure on hit is good enough for now. Have a cluster with corrosive ready to go in so I'll change it once I get a few more levels.
Just broke 2,700int
Spoiler
Made a couple of tree changes to fit in Herald of Ice. Wanted to see if the ice explosions would help with clear speed since my Atlas is full juiced with deli points so there's tons of mobs in every map. Not sure yet if it's actually making much of a difference and if I like the change. |
