Skeletotems is an option to take the heat off. You don't have to cast it all the time.

So when it comes to evading an attack, it's an all-or-nothing situation.
Success: no damage taken
Failure: full damage taken
The problem is that there's no middle-ground, yeah?
Perhaps there should be a second roll if you fail the first roll to fully evade -- with the result determining whether you take the entire hit or only receive a "glancing blow" for partially reduced damage and a chance to be stunned or something?

you totaly wrong
i use both and put 9 points to passive armor and evasion nodes
if i take off that points and put it in life, i die very fast from mobs i can facetank with it.

success and crit we have roll versus crit(take all crit damage or only base damage)
failture: full damage taken

Middle ground?
You have a very high chance of NOT getting hit.
But, chances are you will get hit.
Middle ground is IAS, Life leech, Life on Hit, life regen and of couse enough health to take a hit.
