I was thinking the same thing with Elder or Shaper wands. or a 8 link with tier 1 spell damage....sheesh.

There are also all the builds with cospri's, mjolner and etc. Now you can give the triggered skills in those 6 links. Which should buff those builds significantly. Though Cospri's is still stuck with the mana problem.

My expedition build was mjolner manabond. Which could reach great damage on a 3 link. From what I have checked with PoB, I can probably double it with this shield and the additional support gems.

I sincerely hope this shield won't be too expensive, because I really want to use it.

Dat shield! 2-handers on suicide watch lol. Why even use a 2-hander now?! xD

1) Bitterdream + shield Using a cold projectile spell and the new tornado skill.

2) All other slots filled with support skills

=

2x effective 11 link skills.

Also with the extra effective links.... higher mana cost for archmage builds. :P

I hope the squire will be a very common drop cause it will enable dozens of crazy builds.

If it's a super-rare drop from uber content I'm gonna be pissed.

There seems to be a lot of people buying into the hype. I must admit GGG did a great job of generating it.

I think once pob has updated, people are going to realise this patch is not power creep, there are actually nerfs galore. The stats and notables that are disappearing from the tree (or being made worse) are huge. Some people think the masteriea are in addition to the power we got before, they are not, a fair amount of that power has gone.

Overall I think based on skill points and ascendancy points alone, many builds will be weaker than even in 3.15.

Yes there are crazy uniques that will massively improve power, but due to their assumed rarity, they will be beyond the reach of most until towards the end of the league.

I really hope I am wrong, I too got hyped for this league after the dissapointmrnt of 3.15, which I quit after 2 weeks. But I've seen alot of build creators raise alot of red flags :(
