Can you explain why and how Inner Conviction work? Do we take +1 max frenzy charges?

We only take one +1 max power charges. You don't generate any frenzy charges at all with this build, unless you craft +1 to minimum frenzy charge on jewelry. Inner conviction allows us to get 3% more damage per power charge,which is generated when our mines are detonated targeting an enemy.

Great build! Re-rolled my ED-Contagion to it, and it has been performing quite well so far. Definitely going to be one of my go-to starters now on. However, I am trying to achieve better DPS for the end game. I am having some trouble doing some T16 map bosses and metamorphs at awakener level 8. Should I save up currency to get higher leveled gems/awakened gems? Or do i go for a watcher's eye with one of the zealotry mods? Let me know what my options are at this point.

Glad to hear it :D Your gear looks okay to me however you are missing a lot of damage in your jewel slots on the tree. Leveling up your gems linked to ball lightning will also give quite a lot of DPS as well. Try to manually cast wave of conviction after you apply EE, it will make a big difference in damage. I would hold off on buying any awakened gems or zealotry watcher's eyes. Bottled faith would probably be the next big ticket item for your build. This build is all about playstyle, so really focus on putting the mines near the boss and hit detonate once, wait 2 seconds, then start throwing more to maximize the length of the detonation chain, the longer it goes, the more damage your mines will do towards the end of the chain.

Since our brand can ignite, skitterbots can chill and shock, isn't it better if we go for Explosive Expert rather than Demolitions Specialist?
I started yesterday transitioning into your build, or at least it inspired me.

for a long time it baffled me that my BL Mines were allocating about 20mana per mine, which resumes a hefty amount of mana and I wasn't able to run all Auras I wanted. But with the Highimpact /B-Chain version, this goes down to 5 mana allocation, waaaay easier to maintain and more damage if detonated within a chain.

I know that my gear isn't good but also isn't bad either.

I'm still in the process to figuring out what I need and want, and currently out of currency to progress more (only a matter of time tho)
I know my Setup is far from optimal right now! And I know what I need to change.


What I'm missing in the build, what are the Helm/Boot Enchants you would suggest?


For EE obviously no damage enchant on boots, so either dodge or movement speed.
For Helmet I would say BL Damage or Add. Proj. or Zealotry has 15% reduced Mana Reservation

Do you spam "d" to detonate the mines? If so, thats the issue.

I throw out 20 (or 23) mines for bosses and press "d" once to detonate, with that all mines will trigger in a chain reaction so that each additional mine will deal more damage and with a higher chance to deal double damage.

I feel that the damage is very good tho.

As evil_bison said, most likely the issue is how you are detonating the mines. It's hard to get used to but when you fight a boss you don't want to keep spamming detonate because then the maximum your chain will be is 5 or even less. You can practice throwing mines and detonating in your hideout to get a feel for how to achieve the maximum damage.

You can go for explosive expert if you would like, it's more defensive and good quality of life for general clearing. However, think of Demolitions Specialist as 92% MORE damage (23 mines x 2% chance to deal double damage x2 aura effectiveness from mines from Demolitions Specialist). It's easily better for bossing.

The beauty of the build is we don't need any specific enchants, you can get whatever you'd like. BL AOE is a good one for helm and so is Zealotry/skitterbots reduced reservation. For boots personally I would go for 10% Damage penetration if you haven't killed recently, it's amazing for bosses!
