When you use Cyclopean and Circle of Nostalgia you need to get a much better ring, like at least 150% ele resistance. Also you should upgrade your boots too, you can get much better resists with two-toned boots.

If youre short on currency drop the cyclopean and get a decent belt with resists on it

Would dual wielding cold iron points be a valid approach to increase dps when bossing?
Granted, you lose a bit of ES, minion life (should still have enough tbh) and have less block chance, but in return you get almost twice the dps. It gives extra +5 to herald levels compared to wand/shield.

Edit: I just realized you will not be able to proc EE with them. It should still be a substantial dps increase.

You could use the hammer to good effect if you wanted, but it will not be better than wand/whaka and a skin of the loyal. a +2 skin of the loyal provides the same number of gem levels as the hammer, as does a +2 wand combined with a +1 skin. On top of that, you get the massive benefits of whaka or a GG +1 shield, and if you manage to get a +2 skin you start stacking those wand gem levels beyond what the hammer was capable of.

You can still proc EE with them, just need a source of flat ele (such as on a jewel or on the ring).

Yes. You can cast regular molten shell when you think you are about to take a lot of damage, or immediately after taking a lot of damage (which gives you the opportunity to recover). Vaal molten shell can be used similarly.

They do not stack, but you do not have to wait for the cooldown when one expires to cast the other.You can follow up on your regular shell expiring with a vaal shell and vice versa. Vaal molten shell can be either a panic button when you take a lot of damage or when you know you are entering an encounter that will deal tons (such as a metamorph).

Could go for the 3g1r2b setup with that pretty easily, and could try for vorici in research in an attempt to get other colors if you want a different setup. Shouldn't be too bad chromatic wise.

possible stupid question. but my neck has +1 to all dex gems. doesnt that include HoAG? or am i incredibly wrong?
