" Only half true in my opinion, Shield Charge DOES always hit.. however.. you're not going to get very far very fast with that alone. |

Here's what I got
HP from STR alone (Including the 30HP from Heart of the Gladiator: 170HP Increased HP by Passive Life nodes in percentage: 337% Percentage life regeneration per second: 5.5% For the sake of argument, lets use my Mara as a base (1H Mace and shield) and use the Life Regen per minute from this (being a semi-reasonable item compilation) which is 1098 per minute, divided by 60 to find out the regen per second and we get 18.3HP/sec Now, I've gone into the game and tried my best to calculate the base HP of my Mara without STR and Life Passives, which is 947.31. (947.31 + 170) x 3.37 (for your life passives) = 3765.3347HP without items 3765.3347 x 0.055 (for your life regen per second passives) = 207.093409HP per second 207 + 18 (regen from items) = 225HP/sec So, if you use all of this, you'll have 3,765HP and regenerating 225HP every second. I can guarantee you that you'll never get one-shot by any mob using a 1H Mace and shield setup, with at least 50% damage mitigation from armor (which you'll certainly have even without passives). You will do hardly any damage, but good and holy Christ you will never die. EDIT: I'd also like to add, that if you get the Unique Chaos Plate that gives +1000 life you'll have an extra 3,370 HP, so effectively, you'll have 7135 HP with an Effective HP of 10,702 HP towards physical damage. A few points:
if you can plausably take on Oak by yourself you should do so, because the +45 life is probably better than +5% life secondly at level 100 you have a base life of 446+ 1/2 str +45*times you helped Oak (4) = 801 If the life multiplyer of 3.37 given by CmdrSnipes is correct then we remove 4 5% skills for helping oak we have 3.17 giving you a life (before items) of 3340 If instead of one of the 6% nodes we take Titanic Might that gives up +15 base life which gives us a life total of 3353. Which is firstly more life and secondly more damage unless you can take a hell of alot of life from items I think that it's the superior choice. Also you can put Vitality onto the build, because with this build your don't need mana a hell of alot. that gives you at skill level 1 + 0.6% life/second making your total life gained/second roughly; obscene edit: I forgot the +30 life from Strength of the Gladiator, but I'm pretty sure the initial point still holds. What is the highest the life regenerate per second anyone has?
I got 20.6 per second and with life regen aura on it becomes 24 per second. Conan: Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women.

Hey guys! messing about with some of the now resent skill Calculators, ive managed to bring up a marauder....so far im making the build aswell slowly...by the end game again as an example of max lvl being 120... as skill Calculator states....(do not flame here....)
Calculates to... 4116 Max HP using nodes and 617.4 HP Regen...per second...assuming you have atleast summed up with items and nodes a minimum of 15% HP Regen... This also included 43% fire, Ice and Lighting Resistance and a woopy 35% To All resistance...with no items involved here... Now in terms of damage..im currently using a Resolute technique with a two handed hammer...damge is pritty good...now in terms of skills...im using anything like Sweep...Heavy Strike.... " First of all, i hope there won't be to much misstakes, my english isn't that good :-) I also play a marauder with a build which is skilled mostly on hit points, life-reg, life-leech and physical damage, but also some elemental resistances and a little armour. I'm actually lvl 55 (about 1600 hp) and life-reg is about 118 hp per second. Main attacks (The Blood Reaper / two handed axe) are heavy-strike (actually 2500 dps, max. 1800 physical, about 600 fire and a little bit other elemental), cleave (about 650 dps with added cold damage for slowing down groups) and leap slam (about 750 dps and support gem "blind") for opening the fight and escaping if necessary. As i'm just a casual player, i'm playing standard league and just reached merciless level without any kind of problems. 118 hp life-reg per second, actually 8% life-leech from physical damage, 5 hp gained for every enemy hit and 10 hp gained for every enemy killed, in combination with warlord's mark, solved every problem so far. Yesterday i killed Piety on cruel difficulty with only one use of life flask. I don't know how good or bad this is, i don't have any comparison. So i hope i can get some hints here.
