[3.10] Brittleknee's Scourge Arrow Trickster - All Content! Delirium Ready!
" It is my humble opinion that the change to Scourge Arrow does not reflect a doom and gloom outlook for this Scourge Arrow build. Yes, they are changing it to added chaos and lowering the base damage, but we are not losing any of the multipliers that occur from the added stages, etc. Therefore, rather than converting the phys out to elemental and augmenting it from there, we will simply be more reliant on sources of added flat damage to feed into the beginning of the equation instead. Depending on what shaper mods survive the patch notes, we may be looking for AS/DD and T1 Cold or something similar. Maybe prioritize additional sockets for flat from abyss jewels... there are a few ways to source it and we will just have to see. So all in all, its a change, and we will have to change how we gear, but the build and the skill gem certainly aren't dead. Hi, everyone.
I will indeed be updating this guide for 3.9 so don't worry! I'm currently hoping to have everything updated across all builds within 24 hours. Don't panic about the changes in the skill gem. Its not as bad as you think. You can read my above explanation as to why. It will still be a great build and plenty viable. big OOF with the reveal of the skill gems: they didnt mention in the patch notes that they were nerfing the added damage effectiveness by the same amount. that's a much bigger hit to the skill than I was expecting.

Can't wait to see this updated! Would you recommend farming Imperial Legacy div cards in The Oasis zone (for the Early 6L Bow to later upgrade out of) given that our ability to farm a specific map is worse this league? Other options would include The Foothills and The Vastiri Desert.
Thanks! |

" Yeah, farming the legacy cards is definitely worth the time at the start of a league imo. Check me out on Twitch! http://www.twitch.tv/brittleknee

Just wanted to post a progress report! I ended up getting a lucky sequence of prophecies by the second day of the League (Jeweler's Touch, Bowstring's Music) so I didn't go for the 6L Imperial Bow. Overall, it's been really fun! I've done up to T9 maps so far and I don't feel like I've slowed down. This build is surprisingly tanky. Brittle, you were not kidding about those layers of defense! It handles the metamorphs very well. With constant freezes, I can often just stand and shot-gun them to death.
I'm wondering what to do next. I want to grab better jewelry (More resists) and pick up that ES/Sec belt enchant (I haven't been so lucky yet) so I can grab Atziri's Step. I don't have enough Resists to switch into it yet. After that, for me it will just be a matter of getting 6L on my chest, and then waiting to see what the best crafting options will be for Bows.
Spoiler
Edit: And please ignore the Herald of Ash gem in my chest! I'm just leveling it to use on another build. I'll eventually stick Portal there. Dernière édition par Spottednoble#3239, le 17 déc. 2019 11:31:40

" I'm glad you're enjoying the build so far. I'm hoping to get transitioned over to this one from TR in the next few days if I can scrounge up the dough. The ES/Sec craft is only needed if you are intending to go with Hopeshredder as a bow, but I've recently removed that from the PoB list as it will be exceedingly rare. It used to be a very cheap option for a bossing setup, but that is no longer the case. I seemed to have missed where it was listed later in the guide, apologies! I'll get it hemmed up right away to avoid confusion. For bow crafts its looking like Serrated + Frigid (or just Frigid Spam and hope for the best if on a budget) on a Redeemer Base will be the likely future of the bow recommendations. We'd want a few of her mods to stack up with the delve ones, such as the Sockets gems deal % AD. Jewelry to put on so you can wear your steps will help. Make sure you run labs and/or buy them with Ele Pen %. Essence of Sorrow are a good way to guarantee Flat cold on Jewelry. Hatred guarantees Cold%. I think flat is the better way to go but until I get the build infront of me in league I won't know for certain. Check me out on Twitch! http://www.twitch.tv/brittleknee

"Hopeshredder atm is 10c with no links, it's more common due to not requiring uber elder (unlike voidfletcher or indigon that are super rare now), not sure how the "nerf" to elder guardians will affect availability (they patched to make elder guardian missions only go on red maps not yellow). How viable is a hopeshredder build this league btw? I wanted to make a raider version but there's no guide for it, all I found was outdated scion one (not updated since 3.5), and I didn't feel confident to make it from scratch myself. |

" It's still a good bow, I forgot it was a Elder drop and not Uber-exclusive. My bad. I'll have to update and re-release the PoB for hopeshredder then. Its hard to keep everything straight. Hopeshredder requires setup for survivability due to Ghost Shrouds and needing ES for Stun Immunity. Hopeshredder's degen will chew off your ES leaving you susceptible to incoming stuns and unmitigated damage. Therefore, to use it we have to prepare for it. You have to to grab the Cold Boot outcome from the Machinarium (struggling to remember the name), and put Hatred into a Essence worm so you can run Hatred, Purity of Ice and Herald of Ice. Then also take Survivalist on the tree. This is helped along by the ES/Sec craft on a belt, and the annoint Heart of Ice. By reducing the cold damage we take from the degen by buffing resistances, and then augmenting some ES regen, it ends up balancing out fairly well. There's also a unique belt which turns overleech into ES but we have such a tiny ES pool due to Acro reducing it, it's less consistent than the flat regen imo, because it yo-yos versus always being persistent. I don't know if any of these tactics will help you do your raider build, but I thought I'd talk through them just in case you could incorporate them to be successful. Thanks for the advice, Brittleknee! I'm assuming that the ideal crafting base is still going to be an Imperial Bow? ilv80 seems to be the minimum to hit the T1 flat cold + cold pen Redeemer Prefix. My question is, do we want to hit that T1 #% increased physical damage mod for this build or just stick to flat cold and #% increased elemental damage with attack skills? In which case, the minimum ilevel for crafting would have to be 83 in order to hit the physical damage mod.
I'm farming T13-16 maps now, and I'm feeling like now is the time to upgrade out of Death's Opus. I was also thinking about taking Rain of Arrows out of my gem setup. A couple T15 Phys Refl maps forced me to use only Scourge Arrow, and I'm finding that it works perfectly fine for clearing. It's a tiny bit slower, which honestly just means I die less from stupidly running towards rippy packs. Is your "End-Game Gem Setup" still relevant? I was thinking about re-purposing my 5L chest with Enlighten-Hatred-Herald of Ice-Precision-Vaal Grace. Thanks again! |
