killed Shaper but it's like I did nothing in the game

Shit like this makes me want to go back to standard.

I kill him and I'm like OK I get bench somewhere? Nope.

I get t10 zana mod upgrade? Nope.

Does Zana even have any dialogue? Nope.

Look at my screen "Collect the Shaper's memory fragments 7/15" and "Complete and Elder-influenced Tier 13"

Like really? I just killed arguably the final (or 2nd to final) Atlas boss and literally nothing fucking happens. You think a t13 elder influenced map is going to challenge me?

But..

You can sell portals to spectre summoners! xD

What did you expect to happen? The game to congratulate you then delete all your files because you already won it?

Well I expected something. Maybe a bench recipe if there is one? Memory frag? Anything really. But instead it's like there is no logic or reward of any kind. I just lit up the center of the atlas and there is nothing happening. Let me move on in life without having to grind all the other lower tier crap if I am capable of doing the harder content. Give me the Shaped t10 Zana mod ffs.

For starters Shaper is hardly the most dangerous boss in the game. He is like a 3 or 4 out of 10 in regards to endgame bosses.

Secondly, there tends to be challenges tied to killing him though with all the new content, I suppose that may have been retired.

Thirdly, there is a significant change after collecting the memory fragments. Zana even makes it clear that the effort is futile until the memory fragments have been collected.

Fourth, you can get some swag loot from the shaper such as starforge, and dying sun. Can't comment on the more new additions though they are supposed to be quite good.

Fifth, the fight is fun and a good test of your mechanical skill.

Sixth and final point; Shaper is the test to see if you meet the minimum of endgame requirements. There's a reason people measure shaper DPS. He is the baseline to compare to.

Pretty much the only point you make that is on point with what I take issue with. My post has nothing to do with his difficulty with respect to the other bosses, but he is technically "harder" than t1 - t16 atlas content. The other bosses you are referring to are frankly outside the Atlas and don't contribute to its progression in any way. My map and Atlas progression is basically gated behind a "quest line" and no other reason it seems.

It's also known as GRINDING. You know GGG. It's in the name. Grind for the memory frags stop complaining.

You're probably right. There is just not enough things to grind for in the game. Memory frags are paramount.

It's probably related to the sequence of Memory Fragments.
You must collect them in order, and Shaper holds the last one.

I didn't watch the video, but if he says "irrelevant!" and flies off - you still have fragments to collect.

In "the real" ending there is a cutscene with Zana, Shaper and Elder, and the last Fragment text which I personally find the most emotional in the game.
