its odd, but i find shield dash feels soo clunky and unusable as it stops at every little pebble on the ground.

Maybe you are tyring to use flame dash without any casting speed on tree and gear? Even with just faster casting speed on it - it works well

but hey, buff it - i already think it is the 2nd best movement skill once leveled. Only Leap slam can out perform it.



Flame dash has it's uses for sure. I definitely use the hell out of it because of this league so I can jump over decayed gaps in memories, but in any other scenario, I'd rather use something like shield charge because it doesn't have a cooldown and can proc fortify. And as a summoner, charging into the middle of a group to convocate minions can be a death wish without that buff. :P
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.

as a summoner , i just went with phasing - with flask or gem or trigger and regen - because you shouldnt need to stay in melee range or proc fortify to survive. Movement speed seems to be king with most minion builds though.

Shield charge actively got me killed more then it helped on summoner as i could not see the terrain with my minions tossing stuff every which way.

Flame dash on the summoner let me escape from corners much better, it just took some getting used to having it on your main button and holding shift (i actually binded it to ~ key) to move fluidly.


Flame Dash is a great 1/2L just for crossing gaps or repositioning in fights, usable with any weapon types. Most of my characters these days run Phase Run + Flame Dash so I have something to get me around faster out of combat as well as something to jump gaps and move in boss fights (Phase Run is also really nice for running in the dark in delves). Lightning Warp takes a bunch of links to get usably fast, and still you'll want something like Phase Run in more enclosed layouts. Shield Charge is nice in open layouts but doesn't cross gaps, same for Whirling Blades, and I prefer Flame Dash as a 1 socket gap crosser compared to Lightning Warp alongside those skills.

So sure, it doesn't do everything, but honestly I don't think any of the movement skills really do everything.

OK[Removed by Support]OK . 30 % passiv recovery is a big waste that you could use if you want ofc. but good players dont give a shit about shit waste in pasiv tree.


also note that cooldown recovery speed on belt and boots is a shit waste as the shit waste in passiv tree.
