What's your take on most OP / Broken build this league?

I don't think they touched occultist? They added spell leech and buffed chaos dot spells tho.

More chaos damage, more ES, guess which class is the best at both.

I mean I clearly alluded to that fact. Although I put spell leech and meant es leech.

They did buff the other es ascendancy btw. Or at least reworked it.

I joined the dark side this league, was stricty summoner for 4 years. The difference is huge, a 9k ES, bane 5 link and I am steamrolling through content like never before in my POE history.

What´s so fun is that it was super easy to get. I play SSF of course and crafting items for this build is a lot easier than crafting for my summoners in the past.

I wouldn´t call the build OP though, it´s just a lot easier compared to my summoner builds, with which I reached T15 too, but it took much longer and was harder to do, gear wise.

I played Toxic Rain last league and started a TR Occultist with ES / CI this league. Bane is reasonably close in spec, so I spent some regrets and played some with it when I found the unique chaos dmg ezomyte staff, whatever it's called after I 5 linked it (my TR is also 5L right now)

Umm... Bane is basically Toxic Rain that applies the DOT on hit instead of to an area on the ground. The playstyle is very similar and overall power level seems roughly on a par... except you can't stack it like you can stack TR, so you kinda want to run single target skill to supplement the DOT dmg.

Is that OP? I mean it clears maps very well (especially with the curse explosion ascendancy), but so do a whole lot of skills, and it has single target downsides. I'd hardly call it OP, more like FoTM.

So I went back to TR and just put Bane in a 4 link to apply Despair on bosses linked with increased duration & faster casting. Not that I really need Bane to do that, vs. casting Despair, but whatever, not going to use the 4th link for anything else anyway.

My take on most OP broken builds is that if you find one keep it as a secret and abuse until you are one with it. Then sell your gear and laugh when nerfs come.

Bane is pretty good for lvling and trash low tier maps but not so great for bosses

Winter orb seemed ok for lowish tier maps... i tried it with bane gems (mostly had multi for it) and it was killing but slower then bane (but again gems and also my tree is for bane)

Soulrend seems kinda bad even for bosses on a 4l but ED is bad to me to on a 4l since bane can clear faster i just spam soul or ed after using it

Didnt try most of the other new skills other then to see what they looked like... and divine ire looks to slow/the skill used to trigger it already clears trash so you dont need it

build is like rf jugg,
just running on perma potions+phase run and everything around blow up


i have alot upgrade to do. so far im 1 shotting maps up to tier 13, wich is good
if something survives you use alelopathy blight linked with cwc soulrend + 1 treshhold jevel for wither


i tested bane alot and i found out its cool spell, feel good to use and nice MTX but it sucks abit
it dont clear good, it leave you unprotected back
and leave trash behind. you need to cast it multiple times on elites
and it`s shit on single target boss ofc
it feel unrewarding to 6 link it, but i liked to have it on 4 link
