So, I just uninstalled PoE today.

Map drops were lowered yeah, but they raised them again as can be seen in the patch notes forum, under one of the hotfixes. I thought everyone knew that they raised them back up.

Dodgy that they lowered them without telling us to begin with though.

How about you fix intervention freezes now GGG?

Well... My character probably did not know about it, so map drop is same shit. But after I come back home, I will tell him for sure. Like "Hey, juggy, there was a hotfix! You know, fix, hot, whatever. From now on you have to find more maps!". I wonder if it will work?

It does. I told mine last night, he's been swimming in maps ever since!

We have a saying that "you hit the nail on its head" with OP. I agree fully.

I have not been in PoE since closed beta, but I still remember when Hedge Maze was around and when Dominus was not there yet.
Everything was so slow back then. So slow that I could actually read which monsters I'm killing or how the environment is beautifully crafted.

I can't do it anymore. Wraeclast has become "kill faster than the others to survive."

They release loads of skills. Only handful of usable ones (=meta).

And if you want to play something non-meta, you are screwed. An example would be a simple minion master. You either need to micromanage spectres and shit, or you need to go way off the standard model to use Strength-based Baron.

Over the years, PoE got waaaay complicated.

Great post, been thinking about it myself and with Sekiro out now it's a great time to step back.

Been over 2 weeks now and the shit show that is Intervention freezing is still in the game, worse now then at launch. At launch I had a 50/50 chance to flash dash away for it to catch up but with their "fixes" it's now a 100% chance to die. It gets old really fast. I just don't see them fixing it anytime in the near future and they seem really stubborn to disable it until they can fix it cause they made the moronic decision to tie 98% of crafting to it. I bet if someone found a way that freezing for 10 seconds and dying benefited the player base this shit would have been disabled within the hour.

Maybe they can sort this stuff out and I will comeback to the game, but I won't hold my breath.

Am I the only one who never uninstalls stuff?

Not all of us are seeing the "benefit" of the Hotfix to raise them back up.

Level 81, and I'm stuck grinding T3 maps, trying to built up T4 maps, because the drop rate is terrible and the drops (for me, so far) have been in a descending fashion, not even dropping same tier, most often.

I am currently not playing Standard, because I have no idea what to do with all of my garbage maps that don't spawn masters, and don't help get me back to trying to go after shaper, after I destroyed my map inventory by 2/3+ in back to back league starts, even though the patch notes at Betrayal made it sound that they would be auto converting new maps, and they just didn't.

I figured I would give them the league length to get it figured out, but after a few weeks, and being frustrated with the league, i'm left wondering if I'll make it to league end.

I am a fairly new player as I just started back in Abyss. I was really enjoying POE until this recent map drought and BS intervention spawning. Maybe if I did play back in the beginning when you used to use Mirrors on maps (blows my mind to think a map would be more rare than a mirror) this wouldn't be that bad.

The maps were hardly dropping a couple weeks back, then they made an adjustment server side and maps began appearing, then that hotfix patch download and maps have vanished. I know its a small sample size but I just ran 5 t14 maps, all 8+ mod, corrupt (for the achievement and atlas completion bonus) and even used Zana bloodlines (2 chaos and 2 vaal--I think it was 2 vaal orbs). Not a single red map in return..nada..I actually landed 2 white and 2 yellow maps in return (I did drop an exalt though but that beside the point that maps shouldn't be rarer than an exalt--and I know they are not). And I actually had to buy all 5 of the maps from other players.

If it wasn't for the jewelry rooms in the delve so I can do the chaos recipe to buy maps I would have never made it into the maps I am in.

I am trying to hang on with it but its not as much fun as it was...

with bazillion new devs they have hired, they don't hear. They can't comprehand you want to casually play the game. They will not slow it down. More BS content. You say "too much is too much", but they won't listen. You are supposed to live in Delves and Betrayals literally now (for no reward anyway).

Hey remember the thrill of running Alluring Abyss? Anyone's finding any incentive to run it now - skin transfer gloves anyone?
