Switching to the Old Soundtrack

I wonder about this as well and if a reluctance to burn money to solve the problem was a factor. I think it would have been worth it though. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is that they were ordered by a court / advised by a lawyer to discontinue use of the music for whatever reason.

The problem is... If there WAS a legal dispute, (that is now solved) there should be some evidence of this existing.

personally i love the new soundtrack, although i guess would be nice to somehow have the old one if you wanted to :( i mean i really loved the old soundtrack too, shame for it to go waste :(
kind regars
I can't speak to the quality of the new music, but this is just a massive nerf to Lioneye's Watch. Lioneye's Watch used to be my favorite go-to spot to organize inventory because of how wonderful the music was and how strongly it tugged at those nostalgia strings to encourage me to keep playing.

This, frankly, is worse than when the Witch was nerfed by having her "Sad creatures in dark corners. Seems they've been sad a very long time" line removed upon entering the sewers in Act 3. :-(

Should there? If it were settled privately, I don't think so.

Even if the actual agreement was private, there'd be a court that'd note that there had been a dispute, and it'd been resolved under "undisclosed terms."

The other part sticking out is that GGG had been starting to replace Hutchings' music with Janowski's starting as early as 2.4, when suddenly the "Dried Lake" music wound up being used for a bajillion maps. (such as REPLACING) the themes in places like Desert, and much later, Oasis/Desert Spring)

That dates back to 2016; 3 years would be an AWFULLY long time to "agree to remove all music."

One possibility, instead, is that the contractual obligation might be not to Hutchings, but Janowski. It's possible that when GGG brought him aboard, that may have signed a contract to agree to throw away all their perfectly good music and let Janowski replace it over time. In which case... This'd rival Xsolla for the dumbest contract GGG has signed.

I think any talks about legal issues are speculations at best, deliberate attempt to shut people down at worst.
There is no record or evidence or anything in regard of any legal confrontations over the ost.
There is no clear and definitive statement by GGG on whether there is a possibility of classic OST option or not.

We should not just "deal with it", we should not shut up.
We don't want new music to be removed from the game, and we aren't saying that current composer is any worse than previous one.
All we want is AN OPTION, а choice to have either classic sound track or the new one.

So until GGG comes out of the woodwork and makes a statement, we should not let up.
I like the new soundtracks, but it'd like to be able to switch back to the older ones, especially the Lioneye's Watch theme which is so iconic and more fitting with the theme imho.

You can't even remember the new Lioneye's Watch once you left 1st act.
Go on, try to whistle it, I dare you.
You can't.

Now try remembering the old one. There it is, you know it by heart after hearing it ONCE.
That says a lot.

Let us choose OST version.
Please bring back lioneye's watch music at least it's the Tristram equivalent to PoE thanks
