[3.24] 🗡The Nightblade🗡Nightshade Tincture | Incorporeal | New demo video up

Hi,

I haven't played the build a lot these days, as I'm busy in league with my Lightning Tendrils Trickster, whose DPS has doubled thanks to the (long-awaited) buff to self-cast.

But here is a small update for the Nightblade in 3.17.

* With the removal of the Mark on Hit mod on influenced rings, I have changed my rings, so as not to showcase legacy stuff.

Previously, I had an Assassin's Mark on Hit Shaper Ring + Mark of the Elder unique ring.
Now I have :


The Lori's Lantern is a go-to ring when you play low-life, as it grants a lot of elem and chaos res + enemies are unlucky.

* Also, I've managed to put some nice Eldritch implicits on the boots :


With the implicit and the nodes on the tree, I am fully immune to poison.

* I am still thinking about a rare helmet to replace the Starkonja, when you don't have the +1 stage enchant, as players have pointed that the Starkonja has a malus when you're on low-life.

I'm finishing the first video for the build in 3.17.
Here is a short intro, with a fast fight against Al-Hezmin in Delirium.

Only the long-time followers of the build will remember my "Spectre Out the Mist" mini-series from 3.9 and 3.10.

I've chosen to not use the Loath Bane Ambusher, which is worth more than 100ex in Standard :


Instead, I'm going with these two nice daggers I've had for years, which have 415 and 370 DPS respectively (against 571 for the Loath Bane) :

Next time, I'll also talk about options for the helmet, besides the Starkonja.

some players had noted that the Starkonja has bad synergy with low-life. Recently, a fellow player suggested to use Devoto's Devotion.
A very good choice indeed. Thx to Paponcha.
Another good option is the Crown of the Inward Eye, which is cheap and can adapt to a lot of different builds.

A more extreme measure would be to use a Brutal Restraint/Asenath to get Dance With Death and forego any helmet, in exchange for lucky crit chance and lucky crit dmg.
I've used it briefly in 3.8, as you can see in this fight against the Uber Elder.

Hello, I'm currently trying the build and wondering, is double strike still a nice choice for main skill instead of bf?, if so, what skills would support double strike the best?, also, is alira still the way to go or 2 passive points better?, any unique weapon you'd recommend after widowmaker?

yes, Double Strike is very good :)
I have levelled from 95 to 96 with it, as you can see in this video.

I'm still helping Alira. I think that 15% all res and crit multi is better than 2pts for us, even with the new masteries on the tree.

After the Widowmaker, you can use a Taproot.
The Goblinedge can be interesting too.
I have always loved the Bino's Kitchen, though it's a bit slow. And you need to take the poison bonus on the Ascendancy.

Then, you will need a rare dagger, with 1.7 attack speed minimum and 300 or 350 phys DPS.

* For Double Strike, you want :
(Vaal) Double Strike, Nightblade, Fortify, Multistrike, (Aw) Ancestral Call.
The 6th link can be Energy Leech, Inc Crit Chance or Inc Crit Dmg. Check what is best in PoB.
For bosses, you can replace Ancestral Call with Melee Phys Dmg.

An explode chest will be very handy too.
Chance to Bleed support for the totems.

* IMO, Devoto's Devotion is not better than Starkonja in every regards. It's a good alternative. Best thing is to test it and see what feels better for you.

I haven't played the Nightblade a lot this patch, as I was busy with no less than 6 builds (new or reworked), including my Lightning Tendrils Trickster in league, and five other in Standard :
- a Summon Reaper Necro
- an Exsanguinate "Vampire" Trickster
- an Energy Blade "Jedi" Hiero
- an Infernal Blow "Barbarian" Chieftain
- a Spectral Throw Deadeye with Law of the Wilds.

Bex has announced that there won't be a Balance Manifesto in 3.18. Still, I'll update the PoB for the Nightblade and also, I'll publish a new video before Sentinel league begins.

Hmmm... I guess I'll have to try the Uber Uber Elder.

And learn a new definition of pain :'(

Other than that, no nerfs and buffs.

To play more Assassin-style, we can use the Atlas passive tree Keystone that grants : monsters have less life and more dmg.
