The location of the instant warcry node is shit

you were on a hiatus, thats fine. some us werent. for us that were here it is immediately obvious that this part of the tree is PILE OF GARBAGE that is simply incompatible with current meta

if you are not familiar with it: DAMAGE, lots of DAMAGE, and DAMAGE and movement speed and DAMAGE. and that damage is elemental + penetration

defences.. who needs them when stuff dies before its AI activates? you die from stuff you cannot build defences anyway - these 4 %armour nodes or 4% phys reduction in an era of 100+ life/10% life chests.. it is beyond pathetic at this point

primary defensive mechanics like %armour are USELESS (not the armour itself - you just get it from other sources than passive nodes) and the 'perk' of marauder/duelist area is just that: useless, obsolete junk that noone cares about and what it lacks is damage (aka crit/pen)

warcry node is going to be the ONLY node worth talking about in that area of the tree. and being forced to go there, wade trough the sea of junk.. no, thanks

ill play with an invulnerable scorpion that deals more damage than RT melee PLAYER. just because someone though it is a good idea. and it has better AOE to boot!
I mean, if you're rolling maps with random mods then some defenses against your own shit would be nice in case you hit Reflect, especially since you built up so much DAMAGE.
I absolutely agree.I hate that area with a passion. I try again and again, league after league to make a build that can include soul of steel (perma end charge basically), but i can never justify it, because the area is so inefficient. Same again this league, i need too much other stuff from all over the tree to justify wasting that many points.

In general everthing left of the Duelist End Charge and below the Marauder starting area is pretty bad, especially along the middle highway. There are some decent nodes in that area, but it is simply too bad to justify taking them.

Add some block nodes in that area, improve the axe and sword nodes, make bleed generally useful and replace the stun cluster with something useful(dare i say melee crit, with stun effectiveness if you want to keep the theme ?). Maybe then this area will see some use. But as it is now, placing those warcry nodes is just a hit in the gut for builds that would appreciate them. And it is not as if those builds would have needed any gut punches.
The Bestiary league proved once and for all, that GGG only listens to crying instead of well thought out criticism.

i have a brain and i do not run maps with relfect vs my own damage. GGG removed reflect from the game - why should i care about it if ggg doesnt?

simple as that. reroll reflect rolls (or run these maps on chars that are immune to that particular reflect or deal damage-by-proxy only)

so why should i care about these nodes again?

again: i would appreciate if you actually play the game a bit before starting armchair-general crusade.

I mean, sure, you can reroll that map, or you can build to deal with it.

What if you can't deal with the slow recovery mod? No Regen? What if you run into a map with -max and added damage as elemental? Are you ele weak capped? Does your build rely on ailments? Crit? Leech? Do you reroll all those maps, too?

I'm going to value the ability to run shitty map mods on my characters. If you think I'm a dumbass for doing that because it's a 1.3 mindset and the current patch is 3.3, then that's your problem, not mine.

Yea me too mane, soul of steel really made me think but 4 skill points for it was unacceptable.

But right now I have to go there anyway so I might go for it now. Thanks to shitty SSF rares I need like 2 passive points to fix resistances until the engame, might as well spend 3 for getting some armor and 4% phys reduction too.

I know I should play a build with real potential instead of this shit but I just have to find out how instant warcry berserker feels like ^-

Noooo(i dont like axes XD), make it melee crit! And ofc add something like 20% less elemental damage to each node (or, prefarably, add a line that reads "if you use a stat stick every enemy has 100% dmg reflect")

Ähm, back to more serious territory. I would prefer a general melee damage(if it were possible to exclude ele dmg it would be fantastic, but well) cluster there. But moving the axe cluster on top of it might be a good idea thematically speaking, i it were to be replaced by a fitting cluster (i would love some more dw block, so the ranger and duelist region would finally have equal amounts).
