Hell, GGG doesn't really document anything, we need a 3rd party wiki for basic game info, and even a 3rd party site for trade searching. What a way to make a game (old school?... shit, it's downright as primitive as can be). We need much better from GGG. PoE QoL pretty much sucks. Sometimes the joy of discovery is part of the content. Or have today's gamers with instant online access to wikis and guides forgotten that? Also, the item won't be corrupted, you're thinking of a different room. There's a room that acts as an ancient orb at level 3. There's another room that allows for the super corrupt at level 3. The Altar of Sacrifice at lv3 keeps the same item class, but not same base (there's a thread where players claim it did this at the very beginning, but got patched 'cause it was too easy to get a great unique - like Skyforth). I had one of those belts that had triple implicit, in this case it was like 108% crit. I put that in the Apex, and got a sunblast.... I put in an amulet and got a Dancing Dervish. If it kept the item type in the past it doesn't any more. The different levels of room always had different effects. I believe level 1 is trade 1 Unique for any other Unique, so that would make sense if you were in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 room, but it wouldn't disprove keeping item type in a Tier 3 room. Need game info?
