Incursion Timer
" As a new player I can only reiterate that these incursions are incredibly frustrating. The timer is brutally short, there isn't time to do jack before the thing runs out. A couple seconds to approach enemies, some more seconds to kill the first wave, with luck you haven't lost time here due to gains (but usually you do). Before you know it there are 2 seconds left and then you're out a blink later. Last time I went in as level 62 with a strong build. Went in the direction of the architect I wanted dead. Didn't even see the guy. "Good job", my arse. No idea how people are able to clear it all out. Going by the bar at the bottom of the screen, I had cleared maybe 25%. Clear as day that this is made for the veteran players that know the game inside out, and probably have skills that kill off a room by a stern look in its general direction. I reckon most who struggle just don't bother with it, and certainly don't come here to complain. Hopefully this elitism doesn't make it into the core game - especially if Alva is going to keep barking in our face in ever damn map. At least shut her up. Make it 30 seconds and normal people can have a chance too. |

I'm really not enjoying it or seeing the point behind it. If the timer is "fine" and people are finishing with 20 seconds left, then why does the timer exist? How would removing it change anything? What is the argument for keeping it in? If it was like breach where everyone runs out of time eventually and you are just pushing as far as you can, that makes sense. Incursions have a clear end, many people can hit that end with time to spare, it's a completely dumb and pointless timer that seems to only exist to frustrate people who don't like rushing through a game like a teen high on energy drinks.

" As you can see many people cannot meet the timer requirements. So it's not pointless. In general situation timer is pretty lenient. Especially if you play SC where you can go full DPS. On HC and high tier maps, the situation is different thou. Not always so easy when you get some DPS crippling mods on map. MY CHALLENGES ARE DONE ON HC, IT'S NOT SC GUYS!

" Dude i whipped up 2 meme builds while leveling. No PoB or anything. Just whip them up as i go. Still i have beign full clearing them with 20sec left for ages, Im on T10 maps now and still have no problem clearing and killing the architect (unless im playing on my smartphone). So maby you just need more dps/aoe and maby a movement skill. Anyway they are easy peazy after few acts if you got any idea what you are doing. |

The timer is very frustrating while levelling if you do not pick a strong levelling skill. My m8 and I were raging at it.
We both decided to play Power Siphon Deadeye this league and once you get to maps you will always clear the incursion with 20 sec left and whatever architect you want dead. Don't look at my gear and say OMG ofc you are clearing (it's not even all that great and my jewels need major improvements). I got very lucky with drops and currency flow this league and managed to get some decent pieces. I was clearing them with a power siphon in Thunderfist and a 5L barrage for the architects easy starting from level 70 up. "Never argue with an idiot. They will take you down to their level and beat you trough experience."

here's a list of skills that can definitely clear incursion fine with the right build
blade vortex blast rain cyclone double strike ele hit ethereal knives frost blades lightning arrow lightning strike Ice shot rain of arrows reave spectral throw tornado shot volatile death wild strike infernal blow molten strike shield charge sunder arc ball lightning cold snap essence drain dark pact fireball flameblast frostbolt glacial cascade kinetic blast magma orb power siphon scorching ray righteous fire flicker strike and keep in mind many of these can work multiple ways (trap mine totem etc) and this is without mentioning summoners or wonky shit like autobombers etc. so yeah. maybe the problem isnt wwith the narrow array of builds, you just suck Dernière édition par shaunika90#5422, le 12 juin 2018 à 12:03:39

I have made 3 characters this league, two of them suck at incursions even though they have the DPS to one shot most packs. They use wands though, and have crap movement skills and minimal move speed (just boots and flasks). My third character is a Raider with over +100% move speed, lowest DPS of my characters but easiest to clear incursions with. So what if I suck? I'm not allowed to have fun in the game because I'm a bad player that doesn't want to spam movement skills like a crackhead on every character I make? |

" two words: phase run. link it with inc duration, enhance and arcane surge. it'Ll solve your problems +an adrenaline flask but I'm hoping you already have that. my arc trapper didnt have any movement skills besides phase run since I didnt have enough attack speed for shield charge, and I shit on incursions by just running, I Just needed to plan my route well. and yes, you're allowed to have fun, but I should be rewarded for being better at the game than you, should I not? if you're not good enough then do lower level incursions. if the game doesnt put challenges in front of you that force you to be better, then you wont become better :P Dernière édition par shaunika90#5422, le 12 juin 2018 à 16:19:49
