Does this game run on Linux?
Can I run it in Wine? Anyone else here try? I don't get why so many people ignore Linux. Minecraft supported Linux and it was the top selling game on PC of all time. Most games that come out with Linux support do super well in the market. DOTA 2 and rocket league also come to mind. Unreal tournament and many others have Linux to thank. Google Chrome, Firefox, LibreOffice/Open Office, etc all thanks to Linux. Maybe some dev will read this and take notice of us.

No one wants to hear you WINE.

No and it never will. But we can all pray to RNGesus wishing that PoE will run on Windows smoothly (odds of that happening are same as winning a Powerball lottery).
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2247070 |

No game is thanking linux for its sales. Please stop posting this crap because if you use linux you should know how to setup a vm, use WINE, Foss, etc.
Linux users are typically somewhat tech savvy, not sure how you found linux but Windows is calling you back. |

Doesnt Microsoft threaten game companies not to license them microsoft tools if they make linux version? Just give it up. You will be assimilated by microsoft like everyone else.

No Linux. iOS first please...

Why would any sensible developer publish for Linux when only 1-3% of the computer population use it as their daily OS? Most games on Linux are either there because it was extremely easy to move it, or some of them fell into the SteamOS hype before it flopped like all Linux things do in the mainstream

" You can indeed. I'd recommend checking out this thread as people often post tips and what's worked for them when dealing with recent issues. Please note that the OP is heavily outdated. The last time I tried, I found that the easiest thing was to use Lutris to install the standalone client. I don't know when that script was last updated, but it's worth looking into. " Simple: there is no native DirectX for Linux, and there most likely never will be. That's it. | |
I've been playing on linux for a year and a half now.
I use PlayonLinux, its a nice front end for wine. Opengl works much better for me. It used to be hard when you had to install vulcan and 5 other add ons. Now, its like 6 menu changes and in game. |
