Leap Slam, please switch the behaviour with LT
Hi,
please change the behaviour of Leapslam, make it non target locked by default and with pressing LT let us slam on targets. 99% of the time we need it without the trigger, and pressing the left trigger, stops your movement, and pushing the trigger is not instant. So many times if you are in a hurry, it doesn't count as triggered, if you don't push it really to the end and you end up jumping at mobs and eventually die. All other movement skills behave the opposite way, they don't target lock by default. I am farming lab and despite the desync, it would be kinda usable, if this trigger issue wouldn't be there. This suggestion is likely an example of something that would allow many people "to raise their game" so to speak. Of course, anyone who has mastered the current setup will be potentially doubly disadvantaged by the change - they lose an advantage they had over the masses and they may even have to master a new game mechanic. I think that this is the sort of thing that GGG should be looking at rather than as has been suggested elsewhere, fiddling with core game mechanics in order to effect lower Trade Board prices. We need better players, not a subsidized game economy (not to say that there are no rough spots that could do with a little adjustment here and there). I believe that there needs to be a relationship between the number of players providing the desired goods (by playing high level content) and the number of players buying the goods (by playing lower level content for currency) that promotes greater price competition. Right now we do not have enough of the former and I think that suggestions that could help people improve their game should be closely examined by GGG.

It kinda flips you sometimes back out of motion, kinda desyncs you by default by making you stationary behind the position you are actually. Yeah for an escape it can work, also with the elite controller setting the trigger sensivity to react directly at the slightest touch, but still, not sure if you can do it with the regular controller. And also I suggested to keep it consitent with the other movement skills. 95% of all your comments are, learn the game, get smart, don't be stupid etc. Maybe you should consider to use your brain and for once, switch perspective. They are making money with this game from all kinda of ppl, with different preferences, skills etc. Some are 60+ and not all are in the 20th born with a controller in their hands. Noone is expecting to make this game a casual game, but we all agree desync is an issue, and movement skills are already underwhelming, so this is just meant to make this gaming experience more equal to the pc version. As many have said, XBox Meta is right now not what is a good char, its just what can I actually play effectively with those awkward controls and desync. The game itself is hard enough on its own, alone by its pure complexity. So let us suggest smaller things, that might not be important for you, maybe you don't play even leapslam, and if this is so, don't waste your time to comment. Its just not helping anyone. Ppl are crying out for making things easier, more drops etc, I am against that, I just hope they focus on making the controls as good as possible, fix all other problems first. I really have no problem, to die because of bad gear, not paying attention, getting oneshotted, because i didn't dodge etc. This I deserve, but dying over and over due to desync gets just mega frustrating. Oh and did I mention sometimes, the Trigger is 100% pushed through and it still target locks and you can only fix it by letting go and trigger again, which is slow and can make a difference of just another frustrating death. And about the argument, others would have to adjust, just make it an option somewhere. Why don't we have any control options yet anyway. Like for totem placement as well, why not make it optional not to target lock, placing a fb totem at your feet, might be much more effective. So make us some options to adjust our controls. PLEASE!!! |

I agree with everything you said CuriousGrel.
A toggle option would be awesome. Most of my deaths when using a character that uses leap slam have come from using leap slam. I'm actually now farming 1200-1500 chromes just so i can color my boots to switch into flame dash and faster casting, so i can feel confident that they will get me out of trouble when i need it and not say jump into a mob or jump in place 3 times over while shaper appears under me and 1 kabongs me. Its ridiculous that i even should have to do that though. |

Update: Ya it still works lol not sure why i thought it had been patched out :) Been playing since POE came out with months long breaks here and there. I try to stay as current as i can though.
