You cannot get your packs refunded if you used Steam Wallet

Contrary to the popular post on the front page, you actually cannot get your supporter pack refunded but only if you used Steam Wallet and maybe Xsolla.

So this talk about how GGG are angels who always want best to their customers is flat out false.
The reason why you're able to get a refund through credit card payments is because there is a 10 - 50 EUR investigation chargeback fee to the company for each chargeback. Since chargebacks from credit card companies are a gamble, it's smarter for them to simply refund than to eat up fees that could be even larger than the original purchase.

Steam gives them immunity from chargebacks and no matter what your reason is, you won't get a refund.

Want to support the game? well, hold off your support pack money until you "test" out the new mechanics. If you're happy with their direction..then give them the support they need (and rightly so).

But if you're not happy...well were all adults here or have access to an "adult" income.


Same rule applies no pre-orders on upcoming PC games...new car models...house inspection...gasp research?

Very sweet my dear but this thread is regarding the misinformation regarding being able to get a refund on your already made purchase.

Not sure, don't think so. There is no real reason to.

As a purely retail point of view, what makes you think you are entitled to a refund?

What you bought came with what was advertised, it wasn't faulty in any way you used it.

"Because i don't like the league?" that's nice but that dose not entitle you to a refund as the pack has nothing to do with your enjoyment of the league.

And as a charge back, well that's great for some things, but your method of using it is wrong and i would say illegal, hence if you did manage it you would get perma banned for the hassle it causes a company on a larger scale than some arse biscuit wanting a refund.

You want to refund your customers if they're unhappy to not lose the customer completely and / or not give a customer another reason to provide negative reviews.

Also I am not sure what you mean by illegal. I have a feeling that you're not educated on the topic at all. There is absolutely nothing illegal about chargebacking payments. Neither have I suggested any methods, I purely explained how the process works.

you are right there is nothing illegal about chargebacks. . .just like there is nothing illegal about GGG revoking your limited use licence. . .

They stand to lose more if they don't refund. People who are using refunds to express their displeasure are the same type of person who will support in the future. They know that.

Still a shit thing to do to a company.

IMO, what's unethical is the people demanding refunds because they do not like the league. The Supporter packs are for MTX, and mtx is what you get, your happiness with the league they are released in should be irrelivent, there was no satisfaction-with-league guarantee involved.

The fact that GGG is allowing refunds in cases where they may be liable for charge back fees from Credit Card companies basically means they are being coerced into making a business deal against their will under threat. It's just slimey, and not on GGG's end.

I hate this league as much as anyone, and have been very outspoken about it, but I can't support this form of protest. If you bought a Supporter pack and got the MTX and mtx points, you got what you paid for, end of story, and have no legitimate grounds for a refund IMO.
