is SST - Spectral shield throw a DEAD skill?
" I bet elemental hit would do the same job with that kind of gear, if not better. With down to earth items it's really hard to use SST over any other skill. I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. Lioneye's vision give you lvl 15 pierce but in the skill description says: "Throws a spectral copy of your shield as a projectile which cannot pierce, ..." so it's the buff on lioneye's vision useless? " pierce gives a straight up 'more projectile damage' modifier. Only the shards that come off the explosion can pierce, and pierce will be nice with them, but the real deal is the fact it gives a more multiplier on your damage. I use lioneyes with spectral throw builds, and spec throw has 100% pierce anyway. Sometimes a skill being able to pierce stops you using that chest because you dont want to pierce, where a proj skill that pierce doesnt effect loves that chest cause its just deeps. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

I did some math using pob, i can get 105k dps(shield) and 78k dps(shard) + 15k bleed dps.
with this setup: SST+PPAD+Maim+Brutality+Chance to bleed+Slower Proj. and blood rage with 5 charges and the curse "proj. weakness". all skill at lvl20 using as a shield Lioneye's Remorse other unique are: - winds of change - and prismatic eclipse(3G) - magnate belt - karui ward - tabula rasa all other item are with basics stats. I'm trying to have an idea without end game gear. what do you think? |

" I started the league as bleed SST. It's terrible. Even a Elemental Hit build would be better. It's just bad man, don't waste your time. |

Its terrible for the gear investment and has terrible AoE mechanics. It’s bad for bossing and bad for clearing. Don’t bother with it
