Totem gameplay
I'm still a proud member of the PC Master Race. However, for action games like PoE, I find the console to yield a more satisfying game session. I prefer PC for many other sorts of games, particularly for modded games, strategy, etc. There's no comparison, there. But, consoles and controllers are much better for ARPGs in my experience. (D3 was a completely different and more enjoyable experience for me on console vs my PC experience. The same goes for SWBF:EA which I actually had fun with on PS4, but wouldn't have liked it on PC.)
Currently looking up a few vids that show totem play on a console. If they can't answer the questions, I'll be sure to look you up! With some builds it appears that totem placement isn't as critical in terms of pinpoint accuracy compared to others. Maybe hybrid-sort of builds that also rely on other skills? PS - In D3, there were just builds that wouldn't be viable for much of anything. It was easily possible to reach a ceiling will the majority of builds where it would just not be possible to progress, no matter how "fun" that build was. In PoE, there are multiple paths and ways one can make a build "work." Sure, there are pitfalls and one can easily make mistakes that make a build hit a hard ceiling. But, the variety of good builds with very different play-styles gives an ARPG'er a huge assortment of builds to play. That's one of the real strengths of this game. " If you don't mind me asking, how do the two builds compare? I ask because I have played the physical build but not the elemental build and I'm wondering if it might be worth checking out. I now comment in Forums with my Xbox account:

" Specific placement will be terrible, I plan on trying this as well but I am kind of expecting it to not be perfect so I am going to try to focus on totems that won't need the placement to be too perfect. Probably won't be able to do true end game content but that is nothing new for me. If I can safely clear yellows with my league starter it is a good start. |

" Cleearspeed on the FB was much better. You also did not need to be super close to your totems for them to work. This was my first console build while trying to learn about PoE. Super cheap to gear up. AW is a lot more tankier with tons of regen. Sheet DPS was higher, but over all seemed the same. Knowing what I know about both these builds now, I would have to say FB was better. Xbox Gamertag - Corrison

" "FB" or "AW" ? I'm not sure what those abbreviations mean, sorry. But, would love to know! I was/am planning to play the Uber Lab Warchief build as one of my characters for the upcoming season. (Basically, a farmer to support my other character, which I'm thinking will probably be Frost Wind Ascendant or something similarly interesting, haven't quite decided. Opinions? |

" FB = Frost bolt AW = Ancestral Warchief Depends on what you are farming. For lab, AW is better and safer. Speed clearing maps, go with FB. For this league I am teaching a buddy how to play PoE. Both going physical ST (spectral throw) https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2077519 to make it easier on them. This should be able to do just about anything fairly easily. " Great suggestion. And that guide looks awesome - lots of detail and many tips regarding the different things that one will encounter in Wraeclast. Now I am conflicted about what build I should use for Bestiary League - but that's a good problem to have. Thank you. I now comment in Forums with my Xbox account:

" There are always tons of fun builds to try out. I tried an elemental version of ST in Harbinger and liked it, though this guide is more in depth. We have a solid group of 3 (one of which is new to PoE) for this league, you are more than welcome to join. We are on in the evenings almost everyday like 7 PM PST. Xbox Gamertag - Corrison
