Disconnects - Game Unplayable
Yep, you're using the outdated version of WinMTR. The current version is 0.92.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/winmtr/files/Latest/WinMTR-v092.zip/download Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.

All right, tried again with the new version while playing, got a disconnect in about 5 minutes as well. Here's the result: https://pastebin.com/qedp48iZ
Will try PingPlotter next. |

" Probably not needed. That WinMTR trace pretty clearly shows the problem is between your modem/router, and the first machine on your ISP network. So, time to call the ISP tech support people, and tell them to fix whatever broke in the line between your home and their network. Show them or tell them about the WinMTR trace if they want proof. :) |

" Oh wow, finally some progress here! Thank you so much for your input. Unfortunately though I am extremely *not* savvy when it comes to this kind of thing, so I wouldn't even know what to ask of the tech support guy. My internet works fine for everything else other than Path of Exile. So please bear with me when you explain how exactly we can fix this. |

" No worries. Tell them that you have "one percent packet loss" between your modem/router, and ask them to please investigate and resolve it. Telling them that you asked experts, and used WinMTR to measure it, will potentially help. It may also be useful to grab PingPlotter - we don't need it to diagnose the problem, but it has a much more user-friendly interface to showing, eg, where there is packet loss. That might help you determine if it is a problem or not. (Basically, looking for the red sections in the graph.) It is actually OK to basically just tell them that you don't know this, do the checks they suggest, and if the problem persists, ask them to resolve it. You literally pay them to fix this for you, thankfully. :) |

I suppose it's worth a shot, but I doubt they'll be very helpful...
Anyway, I went to this website to do a packet loss test, and it says I have 100% packet loss? What is that even supposed to mean? Can it really be a Firewall I'm not aware of? Link to the message: https://imgur.com/mGZ53D8 I honestly had never heard of packet loss until today. |

UPDATE: today I decided to test if I could play PoE in my laptop (I normally play in my PC) and to my surprise it played normally for at least 45 minutes (then I stopped playing, it didn't disconnect). I had no issues other than some mild lag.
I tested both the ethernet and the wi-fi connections, just to make sure. They both seem to work fine with the laptop. It's clear now that the problem is with my PC. That's really weird and frustrating since everything else is working fine. I will try to fully reinstall PoE now. Edit: ARGH, a full reinstall did absolutely nothing. It still disconnects in less than 5 minutes. I have no idea what the fluff to do next. Edit 2: it should be noted that the specs in my laptop are a lot lower than the PC, so I really don't think it's a performance issue. I play much heavier games online and they always work fine. OH MY GOD, IT WAS THE FREAKING FIREWALL!
Yep, I just tried disabling Windows firewall and the game ran like Usain Bolt, no lag or disconnects. I'm facepalming so hard, so much trouble over something so trivial. Does anyone know how to safely allow PoE through the firewall without disabling it completely? Seems like this struggle is finally coming to an end. Edit: I just checked and PoE has been on the safe list this entire time. Wtf? Dernière édition par CidGuerreiro#0834, le 28 janv. 2018 à 19:33:22

I'm getting really unmotivated here guys... Thought I had a solution, and it seems to have helped but it's still not enough... |

This issue has been occurring for a small percentage of people, which is why it’s not getting any attention. I’ve read all the threads, I’m having the same issue. Have you gotten anywhere?
