Rigwald's Curse + Facebreaker without a shield?
Hello.
I wanted to make a Rigwald's Curse with Facebreaker build, infact i bought both of these items not that long ago, but then as i went and searched for build idea's i saw that everyone is using a shield for these builds. Honestly i'm not a fan of shields and i wanted to make a character that is along the lines of a berserker, wolverine and werewolf since it looks awesome. I'm wondering since claw nodes are applied to unarmed, then why always go for a shield and not just 'pretend' to dual wield? Since to me it seems the same as dual wielding claws. Thanks. Because shields are really powerful, and for unarmed builds where you need all the flat damage you can get, using shields like Great Old One's Ward are realllly REALLY powerful.

I guess so, but is it neccesary though?
What about quivers? And i still dont understand why people use a shield, since Rigwald's Curse and Facebreaker is basicually using dual wielding right? |

How is it dual wielding? You're wearing gloves, and a necklace that lets you go crit (by giving you a base crit chance, which you normally don't have when unarmed), and a way to scale it through claw crit nodes. There's nothing "dual wield" about it IIRC.

I know that but it's LIKE dual wielding.
Since you can have claw nodes but for unarmed right? So just pretend you're using claws, but you're actually not using them since you're unarmed. I see it as: Your claw nodes go to your unarmed, so instead of dual wielding claws you're just not using them ya know? |

Dual Wielding is an actual game state though that has inherent effects like attack speed/damage bonuses, block chance, etc. You cannot get that state while unarmed. If you just mean... like "role play pretend" that you are dual wielding... sure? But just know that it will be confusing in the context of discussing mechanics xD
Why not just play a dual wield crit claw build? There are some great claw setups. Also, you could try using vanishing dye on a shield? U MAD?

Just buy the Thresher Claws mtx and Spiked Bundle skin transfer.

you cannot wear a weapon in the offhand without having something equipped in the main hand. If u equip something in the mainhand, then facebreaker no longer works. So quite simply the only thing u CAN use is a shield. Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.
