When you're doing a harbinger please read the mods of a rare mob.

Pre 3.0 you'd have had a point, but not with the volatile rework. It takes minimal attention to avoid.

I meant dying is inevitable.
Apart from volatile blood the only other dangerous thing about rare mobs are their auras. And they are very visible.

I think just skipping the harbinger mobs is going to net more exp/hour and only marginally less loot/hour.

Just don't stay in blue circle when harbinger summon monsters. It's easy to avoid volatile if you see it, and it is hard to see volatile in big pack of summoned monsters.
