Divine Vessel - drop rate or rather lack of it
The incredibly low drop rate really makes you forget about the entire pantheon system since you tend to pick 2 and never change them, especially since you are likely to always use the one or two that you actually got to divine. Terrible idea to set drop rate for non-league play.

" Nope. Nope. Nope. If RNG is meant to govern all, chaos is ensured. And it is a post regarding equilibrium in the amount of RNG implemented. You don't need to make SSF the "impossible" sink. It's not. It should however be tuned in a way that would encourage "playing" as you would get a "reward" for that, in this case a Divine Vessel. Playing 10-100K hours and not seeing one drop is asinine, but plausible. Those extremes should be toned down. I don't mind either buying them or just seeing one every few thousand maps. You don't see me asking for free EX for the same reason. Unfortunately, Divine Vessels are different and are meant to interact with a "core" system. So a minimum ratio should be implemented for all players. Or make at least one a guaranteed drop for making a quest to explain the "upgrade" of the Pantheon system. PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"...
Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days... |

" "Equilibrium" is a touchy word in this game because the drop rate isn't balanced around the average player by any means and GGG doesn't (and shouldn't) treat SSF differently. I understand your argument at face value, but I still raise you SSF's real value and challenge and sole intention, playing with what you find. Again, I think the anger on this topic stems from an element of "character progression" stemming from an item drop which is a pure chance event. I don't really agree with the hate, because this is the game and this has always been the game but I guess I can understand the principle of the argument if it is related to a "progression system" that shows you a path but gates it behind chance. People "feel" cheated I guess. However, though at the end of the day, it really isn't different from anything else in this game if you open your eyes, you need desirable items to progress whether it be a vessel or a unique etc.. As a solution, a guaranteed quest reward seems like a good idea but if people aren't happy with the underlying drop rate it won't really change anything. Maybe a Divine Vessel available once per level every level from a vendor starting at 75 may make sense or something like that but it is unlikely it will be implemented like this since they made it a drop. This is a new system and we don't really know GGG's intentions here so its hard to comment but I think most agree the drop rate maybe a little too low. But then you have to ask yourself, what are we basing this off of? Chris never said "it is reasonable for a character to upgrade X Pantheons souls before level 80" or anything like this, so no one had any idea what to expect. But it is very clear that a. you aren't meant to upgrade close to all souls from your own efforts (drops) b. the vessels are meant to be rare to make them meaningful and encourage choice on what you choose to upgrade c. one can only expect to allocate a large number of upgrades through trading for the vessels. For all we know this is working as planned. I mean if you think about the system, you can only have 1 major and 1 active at a time anyway and you can upgrade those all 3 times? (I think), so that's six vessels for your "main setup". If you even change them, maybe another 3 or so if you have another setup for a major or minor God. Is that really unreasonable? Idk. Again for the minimal bonuses they add most of the time, I don't really find this to be a big problem. It's not like we are gating merc and uber ascendancy points behind a vessel drop for instance. All healthy discussion. Also, please don't forget that RNG used to govern ALL pre version 1.2 (Forsaken Masters). There were no masters, no crafting, no atlas system to manipulate etc. We were pretty OK then :) Prophecy @ WizKid - 94 BV Pathfinder

People actually bother with divine vessels? I have had 50+ drop this league and didn't even use any of them. Still rotting in my stash somewhere, not interested.
Quit the league a while ago, this is my stash of what is left. Sold more then 20 easily, all selffound.

Yeah, the pantheon system needs some redesign.
Add a Forsaken Masters questline

I was just searching google for this. It's an INSANE low drop rate.. for me at least. Seeing there are over 10k on .trade it seems its not low. But as a level 83 now doing like 50 maps I NEVER found one yet.
Would be nice if they actually dropped. The force is strong in the power of the thorns!

Drop rates are poor, but thankfully I don't play SSF, & got a few from trading. They are surprising cheap for the drop rate. I think its due to you only need them for the useful nodes, after that, its of no use.

havent dropped one since my last post here (3-4 weeks?)
been playing not that much lately - Grim Dawn and all - but it is just absurdly low drop rate for something that supposedly happens to be our character's progression |
