Why does HC/SSF seem so alluring?

i won't be running HC but i really do like the thought of the SSF challenge.

now with essence etc crafting has never been easier so i think i'll be giving SSF a try for this league to see what i can get rolling. i'll probably be building a raider or pathfinder because they seem to be the most versatile (bow, melee or spell builds doesn't matter). be interesting to see what i can find and the builds i can shape around my luck.

Will 100% run SSF HC Legacy League but when that league end i will continue in SSF HC (Permanent) and probally never play any leagues again. I don't like starting over every 3 months, especially in SSF.

What if you die in HC/SFF do you get transfered to SC/SFF?

Ive played hc ssf quite a few times, its the only way Ive played in hc leagues.


Its rly fun, Ill certainly be doing more of it in the future. for me though, I get to about lvl85 and then it gets super boring. At first its about making drops meaningful etc, which is nice. I feel like the tables turn on that idea around the mid 80s. It starts to become near impossible to find anything thats rly a significant upgrade on what u have already, u found enough okish gear to gear up another 3 or 4 characters. I feel like at that point it just feels rly rly grindy and actually, because you cant sell your drops only something thats a direct upgrade for you has real value to your character, and virtually nothing you find is a direct useful upgrade for your particular build. You stash the things for further characters, but the more you do that the less you care about finding even more stuff and it just starts to feel like being on standard where you can just reach into your stash and pull out an endgame gear set whenever you want, it stops being that exciting struggle thing.

I dunno, every ssf hc char Ive made Ive leveled it to the mid 80s and then just abandoned it, super fun up to that point but beyond there isnt for me. Maybe with the new atlas etc theres more reason to keep mapping, last league i played solo self found hc was Beyond so its been a while. Its extremely fun up to that point tho, honestly I never trade in sc leagues till Im about 85-90 anyway, but it does have a different feel regardless.

Crafting doesnt exist if your SSF i know cause i dont buy currency to craft thus why i can never craft things in any league ive played ever


I used most of my chaos to spam a vaal last night used about 500 chaos and 7 ex along with tons of alts regs and alts... the ending item was worse then a random drop

Used alot in breach to try to make my ES armor (the same armor) and nothing again on 2 different armors
