Path of Exile Solo Self Found (SSF) Guide

I like it, all the tips are great. Would add some in-depth chaos recipe how-to, ass SSF players need those chaos' when they reach maps.

Does something like spark inquisitor viable as a first character ?

How is it ssf if we can access our stash full of goodies from other characters and just pick items from stash?

Or can we not use our stash?

You can use your stash and it is shared with all your other SSF characters. So you can play SRS and if it turns out you find a great bow you can give that to another char and play a bow build.

It is self found, since you found that bow (with a different char).
You don't have access to your standard stash.

Oh so there will be a block when you try trading with other people, like it's not possible trading?

is it gonna be a different hideout?

We could open a map with a standard character, drop something and then log in with ssf and pick it up.

Or are we not able to get in maps portals not created ssf?

Yes, it will be a separate league, with disabled partying (therefore no trading). The stash is shared among your characters in league, else it would be prohibitively difficult to play the game.

You will be able to "bailout" your char (and his inventory) into the parent trading league, tho, if you ever get tired of SSF. Even move your stash & masters + atlas at once, apparently.

I'll say that as self-found, both the chaos and the regal recipe are more important than ever. Consider that you will need to craft all your jewels yourself, and you'll quickly realize that alts and regals are really important orbs. :)

Speedrunning through the game and not picking stuff up, that's the quick road to complete failure. I'm fairly certain a sizable portion of the first-time runners will hit the brick wall in late merciless when they realize that any and all gear they need has to be either picked up or crafted, and they're finding nothing and have almost no currency to use.

For those thinking of making a guide... make another one directed at old time traders who are trying SSF for the first time. No need for all the basic advice about how to play and acquire wealth. Just focus on how the playstyle is different.

Good stuff. While most of the stuff for me personal are know, newer player should defo read it!

I personal also would add to the viable build list:

- All phys spells that scale with gem level. (Bladefall, Shockwave, EK, BV)

- Gear should be planned around 1 main stat on gear, i.e. %ES on Es gear. Everything else would be a bonus OR in case of EB/MoM, around ES + Life as a main stat.

But thats just me, or well, my opinion ;)
