@laddish Yes I'm lvl 78 now at that time I was same lvl as map. Used 5-6 T8 Shore maps and got Chayula breach 2 times. I was shocked. Until today almost nothing but 1 Chayula Breach in Zana 7 party where I got 1 splinter at beginning of league.

Well then I guess I'm wrong about him only spawning in red maps..

Got 15 once and 13 another time both Chayula spawned and killed it. Other than that ive acquired my 80ish splinter about 2-4 sometimes 5 at a time. Mostly 2-3.

This is classic GGG tactics. They tout a feature, dangle the carrot in front of all players, and then make it so that less than 10% of all players can ever reach the carrot. In the case of splinters it's more like this:
 GGG and mixed signals go hand in hand like super low RNG drop chances on high uniques to get us to trade more but then make trading a royal pain in the ass to do. Same thing with party play and then make it near impossible due to shitty performance. So now we need 100 splinters but only get a paltry few so another "must forego real life and play PoE 16+ hours a day" to acquire 100 in a reasonable time frame to get the carrot. Another <2% of players game element again. SIGH!!! "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."

How to identify a Chayula Breach in 5 easy steps
1) open a breach 2) clear that breach for a whole minute 3) Find no splinter 4) Congratulations, you just found a Chayula breach ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

8,5k Map Tiers done approx, averaging around 5-6 splinters per breach, encountered Chayula twice and most of the Splinters have dropped after the buff to Chayula Breaches from red/guardian maps. So apparently GGG's buff somewhat worked.

GGG always had gated content that you have to either grind to death to get it yourself or make currency by i.e. killing bosses and than buy what you want that way. At least, compared to before, making currency, drop rate and crafting is much, much better than before.
