why pierce?? Is spectral throw already have 100% pierce chance? You should try physical projectil, rapid decay, inc crit chance or crit dmg...

I use Maligaro's, but the others I linked are also viable options. Maligaro's increases the damage the most, rare gloves will provide life and resis though.

The pierce gem is not actually for projectiles piercing. It adds projectile damage, which I believe scales with the physical and chaos damage. Phys proj only scales with physical damage.

Switching from a 20/20 Pierce to a 20/20 Phys Proj gem drops my dps by 900 in town.

I can try to work on this, I am less familiar with CI than life based builds.

I swapped over around lvl 60-70, that's when I began to pick up the chaos damage nodes towards the top of the tree (around 90-100 passive points)
