ppl are fake posting items on poe.trade

Today I sold the first item I got any whispers on in the league, a Sacrifice at Midnight. At the time, there were several listed at 2c, plenty at 3 and up. I listed at 2c because I wanted my second and third chaos for the league, and could buy some of my vital items.

It sold immediately, but Poe.trade never updated. I had dozens of whispers and eventually had to play with a DND message up. It had nothing to do with price setting. Its this terrible trade setup and reliance on a valiant but 3rd party website.

i even got spammed at 4c lol
Marking an item even slightly under market means 1-2 hours of non stop spam. The trading situation is unbearably bad at the moment and I hope GGG starts to come to their senses and starts to take a more active part in the foundation of their entire game - the trading and economy.

Don't know where all you people going on about hours of spam are coming from.

I underlisted a couple things, got instant whispers for 10 seconds. Removed item and the whispers stopped within 20 seconds.
I had whispers for 3 hours last night for something i'd sold already, it's poe.trade that's bugged, not players manipulating the market

This happens when you underprice an item so severely, it gets detected by people with custom-made scripts (not poe.trade). If you list an item at a price which interests a lot of players but doesn't trigger the guys with the custom scripts, the whispers will start coming in around 10-15 minutes when it appears on poe.trade.

There seems to be a problem with poe.trade recently, it still shows as online items which have been sold hours ago. Happened to me, happened to my buddy, it's quite aggravating.
You have to be realistic about these things.

Maybe it's a bug with things that were on sale at poetrade when the league ended and moved into remove only tabs on standard?

Just thinking out loud. Don't quite know how poetrade handles that change.

Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more.

'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league.
Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave.

No, the problem is with items listed in Breach.

Example: you list a Racecourse map at 1 alch. Turns out a lot of people want that map for 1 alch. You sell it to the first guy who messaged you. You keep receiving messages for it throughout the day although you sold it hours ago and don't have another one. That's what happened to a friend. He said he had received hundreds of messages for this map by the end of the day. Judging from my experience from attempts to buy low and mid-tier maps, you have to contact anywhere between 5 and 15 players until you get a reaction. I assume a lot of other people have the same problem with listings remaining active on poe.trade long after the item has been sold.

Something similar happened to me with a ring I listed at 1c which I apparently underpriced. Not as much spam as my buddy, nevertheless still annoying and persisting for hours.
You have to be realistic about these things.

Trading is such a clusterfuck in this game.

Its a shame some people are so obsessive compulsive with the game they get together in OCD groups and plot to make it harder for everyone else.

Just so they can have a few more pixels and a whacked out form of self worth.

well, the live search feature (even with acoustic notification) is a part of poe.trade and it just got alot more popular.

age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
