Wand is good, however, as many have mentioned (myself included a few pages back) - a Piscator will almost always be higher DPS, and it costs 2c instead of 15ex.

The OP contradicts this, but I believe it comes pretty close if you have properly set up 6+ Abyss Jewels. The only way I can see a rare wand beating out Piscator + 6-8 Abyss Jewels is if you have something like 65% Ele to Attack on BOTH opal rings... So you're talking about throwing dozens of exalts into rings, alongside 20-30ex (or more) on a GG rare wand... to MAYBE squeek out 5% more overall DPS than a 2c piscator...

Save your currency.

If anything, a "Corrupted with Culling" piscator will outweigh even a 5% or 10% increase in DPS, since we are talking about boss-killing, and will be cheaper to buy (or craft) than a 30ex rare wand.

I highly recommend you, and everybody, personally input their build into PoBuilding and try out wands WITH proper jewels before going ham on spending unnecessary exalts.
You may be surprised. I personally LOSE 10%+ dps using the wand you linked above over a piscator, because I run 6 Abyss jewels all with 80+ flat elemental damage.

Okay, so. I'm gonna be starting a first ever wander build somewhere in the near future, currently reading up on everything i can find. This is the largest\most often bumbed up wanding thread from what i've noticed so i'll probably store my very stupid questions here, in hopes that somebody will be kind enough to answer them :>D.

First question is probably going to be the most stupid of them all. My budget for this build's going to be roughly 12-18 ex + 700-900 chaos, further investments will take a while, since i kinda want to upgrade other characters aswell, and i still didn't figure out how to properly make money from trading :D So income's generally slow.

I've heard that wanders are a huge currency sink. That amount of investment it's obviously not enough to build an insanely-rolled character, but how good will it be? A.k.a. will it be good enough to clear all content\comfortable in t15-16?

From reading the last two pages i already understood that getting a multi-ex rare wand appears to be a mistake :D.

With that budget, you can easily clear all content, including even Shaper, probably.

What you need as a baseline for good damage is:

1) 6 link QOTF
2) Dying Sun
3) Vinktar

That should be enough to carry your damage pretty hard. Jewellery should not be too expensive.

And yes, as you mentioned, buying a rare wand is a mistake. Make sure to get lots of flat elemental damage on all jewellery and get abyss jewels with flat lightning damage as well. This way, Piscator's is far better than any multi-ex rare wand.

The tree hardly changed. It was recently changed to pick up 1 more jewel sockets for abyss jewels.

Dying Sun is a lot more expensive than it was in Harbinger, hmm :D Or maybe it's just that expensive 3 weeks into the league.

Regarding body armour, i've seen three versions so far: QOTF one, Shroud of the Lightless one, and Inpulsa's one. Is QOTF BiS over the other two options?

QOTF is ALWAYS BiS as it is perfect for movement speed and defense. There really is no replacing QOTF as it is the core of the build. I've found that using different items than the ones stated in the guide usually doesn't end well.
