Thank you for really good build, oneshotting pretty much everything

Spoiler

think need to craft a better second ring

I would try and craft more rings indeed. The ones you have are gg for es based builds. You could sell them for a good profit or keep them for future es based characters. ;)

The 4 link was explained in the Leveling spoiler.

Your basic EA setup is:

Explosive arrow > Fire penetration > Greater / Lesser multiple projectiles > Slower projectiles / Chance to ignite

I would always use Chance to ignite personally. Conflux is not really reliable. The GMP is better for general clearing. If you have Beacon of ruin LMP may be good enough. In the end it's a matter of preference, but also depends on damage.

You can level the CWDT with your golem gems. In the endgame they should stay up pretty much all the time. In hard maps it is not too hard to get hit for 3k damage in a single hit sometimes.

Thanks, once I got home I as able to look closer and see that. Rolling through merc now, detouring first thing tonight to pick up my normal lab points. Dropped my first ex last night as well so that will prob go to a 5L quill rain to free up my armor as a 5L single target setup till I can afford kaoms.

Looking forward to the progress.

Gl and grats on the EX. I personally try to link my gear as I can also get a 6 link. Although I never do...
Thoughts on Elemental Equilibrium in the light of this post?

regarding Elemental Equilibrium. Assuming my previous method is correct. If I have EE (with cold attack dmg) and GMP and I shoot a full stack of 25 into the ice wall and before they blow up I hit the monster with cold EE will:

a.) All arrows blow up simultaneously all getting the benefit of the lowered fire resistance

b.) 1 arrow blows up first and proccing fire EE lowering the damage of all the others.
Only one explosion can benefit from the Elemental Equilibrium debuff. It then applies a new EE debuff with the elements it hit with, which will impeed further explosions.

No this was known to me. And it's also the reason why I suggest to everybody to test the mechanic in a safe environment. EE is only really needed for boss kills (single target). The trash will die regardless. You always need to re apply the effect after the explosion.

That being said, the burn last for 4 seconds. So if you re apply the effect after the explosion you are fine. With the way EA is played it is a very high probability that you will re apply the effect without thinking.

Fair enough. While not alongside the primary intent for this guide, I feel that Pathfinder version may potentially benefit from Veteran Bowyer over Master Surgeon/Elemental Equilibrium even for single target, in retrospect on this information from Mark_GGG.

Veteran Bowyer will fuck up youe Elemental Equilibrium. You can only use that if you drop elemental equilibrium.

That's the idea, to experiment with substitution of Elemental Equilibrium with Veteran Bowyer.

I doubt it will be worth it. EE only takes 1 skill point and gives a lot to the table. Additionally you lose Master surgeon. That node gives your life flask extra juice (more life from flask) and removes bleeding.

Of course you are welcome to try. You will do good damage regardless.

Thinking more about it, I feel that Veteran Bowyer will ultimately be pointless. A bit better on the pack clearing in circumstances where EA does not deal overkill damage, but decidedly worse for single target damage, where you consistently cause Elemental Equilibrium with on-hit effects from added cold or lightning damage.

So yeah, we're back at square one to what you and other prominent EA players are saying. Sorry to bother so verbosely!
