The ring is absolutely worth it. Get two 1st - less mana reserve and increase buff, 2nd increase buff and increase damage. Now run hatred, herald of purity,
and herald of ash. Drop the unique belt for one with high res, you can hit 4M dps. I'll post a PoB later.

have fun facebreaking.

pls PoB! wanna try this as 2nd character

i would go with a PoB like this: https://pastebin.com/GL3Mr0q6

with my normal setup i come to 3,6m shaper dps. with 2x min rolled rings i come to 4m, with average 4,4m and with perfect rolled to 4,8m shaper dps. because the rings have many variants even with the right two mods and can roll between 40-60 phys dmg and 70-100 buff effect it could be hard to get some nearly perfect ones (with iron ring implicit non corrupted).

for me i really like the benefit from the death door boots (bleed immunity / +1 endurance charge) im not sure if i would consider to pick up a ring. IF i would hit one with bleed immunity corruption i think i would take one. but thats nearly impossible imho. Besides that 3,6m shaper dps is more than enough for the whole content

ive added my thoughts into my "league specifc items" section

btw herald of ash + mana reservation effect gives me less dmg than 2x increased phys dmg effect

can state this builds is absolutely bonkers on a budget for league starts.

serker 40% more and warcry heal will carry you to reds on low rolled facebreakers, with lab running be a very easy and very good way to make currency

only negative is the totem playstyle isnt for everyone

i am likely going to use this as ps4 launch build and hopefully get a quick shaper kill, will post back as it happens!

hey,
played the last time in beta and now I'm back to POE as SSF with a marauder. Currently only lvl 42 and have a few questions as I just transitioned into ancestral warchief.

I enjoy the safe and tanky playstyle so I picked the Chieftain Version. As I like a relaxed playstyle I try to reduce the number of active skills / buttons I'm using to a minimum (Optimum would be one movement skill and 1 Damage skill with the rest automated or as auras).
Is there a way to fit the gem setup a bit more to something that would suit me more? (I know I will be loosing Damage) For example Vaal Haste/Grace, Vaal Coldsnap / Lightning Trap is something I'll never use. Maybe a curse on hit instead? Or another aura as I only use 50% of my manapool? There probably is no way around Enduring Cry even as a chieftain? I hate spamming buttons :)

I currently have 2x1H that give me more Display DPS on the skill ingame than the 2H I'm using. Is it strictly better to go with a 2H regardless while leveling?
As I'm playing SSF and don't have Facebreakers I won't be using a shield until I have the gloves correct? Where should I put the skill points into that boost DPS while wearing a shield until then?

Thanks for your help.
What are the differences between this one and Lifting's Champion version?

i prefer a corrupted facebreaker with curse on hit, but you can also run blasphemy with a curse if you want.

you dont need to spam the warcry as chieftain, but you should try to have your endurance charges always at max.

if your dual wield setup does more damage, than i dont see the need of changing it into 2hand.

best option for you to see wich dmg notes help you in tree would be to load your character into PoB and click the "show node power" button.
show node power

thanks for the help. Then I'll stick to DW for now. I was under the impression a 2H is necessary for the bigger damage range and slower attack speed maybe. That's why I asked.
Hello sir, first of all i would like to thank you for your contribution to the building community.
Next up, i would like to ask you some questions about the build(playing chieftain).
I feel a squishy, how much would the blind jewel help with the defenses?
At what level should i keep my cwdt and ic if i'm not playing with abyssus just yet?
Finally if you could take a looksie at my character, and give me some pointers i would be extremely grateful.
Thank you and have a nice day. :)

blind on enemys means 50% less chance to get a hit, so its a really good defense onption.

you will find some good information in my FAQ for the CWDT setup

if you feel too squishy you can pick more life notes around the scion life wheel and you dont have a bleed immune flask

you can also try to switch inc area with conc effect for more dmg = more leech

besides that a good positioning makes the most difference in feeling squishy or not (behind your totems, not in the middle of the enemy pack)
