Scold's Bridle, Damage mitigation and Paragon of Calamity

What's the mana cost of your Flameblast? How much damage are you taking from Scold's (before conversion, mitigation etc.)?

I tried with 12 mana/stack

So taking 12*4 = 48 (scold)
48*91/100 ~ 43 (9% physical mitigation)
20% of 43 = 8.7 (Cloak of Flame)
8.7*(1-0.78) = 1.9 (fire res)

Even rounded down, it should still work. And I doubt damages are rounded down. Can't be sure though.


Also, even if it doesn't matter to check if it works or not, the build was based on the fact I take 8 damage, so less than 1 once mitigation done.

Just FYI, damage taken is converted before any mitigation is applied. But that makes it more confusing, since then you should be taking at least (48*.2*.22=) 2.1 fire damage. I've never used the Paragon of Calamity node, but I'm assuming you can tell when it's working or not. If it's showing up for other phys hits (while wearing CoF) and it isn't showing up for Scold's hits, I'd say it's a bug, because hits from Scold's should be the same as hits from anything else.

You don't have any -x to Physical Damage taken anywhere (from Astramentis or something)? No Arctic Armour? You can see that you are taking damage from Scold's? Just trying to figure out if there's aaany way you could be mitigating all the fire damage.

+ life leech + vaal pact = OP as fuk

I have a arctic armour, and the less damage taken when hit is considered at the very end of the calculation. So I didn't even include it.
