Out of Memory (Workaround Found)
Constant crashes all weekend in 2.2. Out of Memory errors in Windows 10. My computer could easily play POE in previous versions.
Hopefully this get patched soon and we don't have to use one of these workarounds. __Caliber_EX Dernière édition par Jaineiro#2083, le 7 mars 2016 à 01:32:09

I agree, i hope they fix this, its hard to finish a labyrinth run when every loading screen could crash...
At one point yesterday poe was using roughly 7gb of standby memmory... this is on win 10 64bits 16gb ram. |

" Is there a similar program for Windows XP? |

Hope they fix this fast. I just built a computer specifically for PoE and now I can't even play it.
The RAM workaround doesn't seem to be helping in my case, but I will try to audio fix and see what happens =/ |

" Are you also getting the Out of Memory error? Windows XP does not use the current memory management methods that its successors do, so if you are getting the memory issues, you have a different problem than what this workaround addresses. |

" I can't get any effect from that. When I press "empty standby list" nothing slightly changes and 2-3 instances later I crash again. | |
" This works! Find your PoE Shortcut and click properties, in the Target line, put a space and then add --softwareaudio. So that it looks like this (your path will be different) "C:\Path of Exile\PathOfExile.exe" --softwareaudio Have had no issues since trying this fix. Facebreaker is Life.

" Wtf is a target line? Maybe be more specific when explaining things so that people who dont know as much lingo can understand too. Cuz when I open up the properties im not seeing where to put this |

" What is a Command Line Parameter A command line parameter in a video game shortcut is simply a command that enables or disables certain features of the game while the program begins. The most common command line parameter is -console. On many PC video games this will enable the console, where cheats are entered. How to Add a Command Line Parameter to a Shortcut The easiest way to enable cheats in a video game is to add a command line parameter to the video game's shortcut icon on your desktop. If there is no icon for the game on your desktop you can also add the parameter to another 'link' to the game, such as within the game's folder. Here is how you add a command line parameter to a video game's shortcut icon on your PC desktop: • Locate the shortcut to the video game on your desktop. • Right click the file and select Properties. • Under the shortcut tab, you will see an area that says Target, this will list the exact location of the file within quotation marks. • Modify the Target adding the command line variables after the last quotation mark. • Press apply and start your game via the shortcut. Example Shortcuts Here is an example of a shortcut target with and without a command line parameter added to it: Shortcut for Half-Life without a command line parameter: • C:\Program Files\Sierra\Half-Life\hl.exe Shortcut for Half-Life with a command line parameter added to it: • C:\Program Files\Sierra\Half-Life\hl.exe -console If there is more than one command line parameter to be added, they are added in the same fashion one after another with a leading space. Like this: • C:\Program Files\Sierra\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -dev -debug Satisfied? Remember, suffering is convenient.
That is why many people prefer it. Happiness requires effort. |

Here is my question ....ok so it makes since that the game crashes cause the old ram isn't getting dumped. but what about party play when everyone in a party crashes..is it because the host computer crashes ? and if that is so why doesn't it just say so and so has left the party instead ?
