25% to avoid cast interruption, worth it?
I get interrupted a lot on my witch, especially when rapid fire enemies are smashing my face in. Is it worth it to snag the passive for the 25% avoidance of cast interruption?
If not, I'll just be increasing my life pool(which I am doing anyway) to avoid stun. I will also just be more mobile. "Danger is like jello, there's always room for more."

It might be worth it if you're ci, but I would never go out of my way to get it.

Worth it if you are going by it, but i wouldn't travel over there just for it.

Depends on your current abilities. Being able to summon a wall of undead and skeletons and the like, then raining down arrows/fireballs/what have you from behind is how my friend does his combat.

With anyone using Energy Shield it is worthwhile if you use your spells at close range often and are nearby the passive. With Energy Shield you have an inherent 50% chance to avoid being stunned, so Avoid Cast Interruption synergises with it nicely.
I'm not sure where I read this (I can't find it anywhere with Google or the site's search) but it was written that stun causes cast interruption. If it is, then if you have 50% chance to avoid being stunned and have the 25% chance to avoid cast interruption, then in total you should have 75% chance to avoid cast interruption. To me that seems like a good deal. same name in-game

Iao, im suspecting it doesnt work like that. ES gives you 50% to avoid being stunned, not to avoid interruption.
So most likely your total chance to avoid an interrupt is 1-((1-0.5)*(1-0.25)) = 0.625 = 62.5%. ign: ggtyfutoo

Right now I have Zealot's Oath, which is right near this node so I always have some ES and the 50% chance to avoid stun, which is also 50% to avoid playing the block animation and be interrupted. I didn't get the 25% to avoid interruption yet and would say that ZO has been really helpful. I will get this node eventually too, but ZO is probably even stronger.

" It could work like that; I'm not sure. Your equation (calculating the total chance based on separate rolls of avoidance) seems like it could be true. However if the cast interruption mechanic is simply a result of being stunned, it might be as I described. If so, I suspect the chance to avoid cast interruption might read from the same roll as the chance to avoid being stunned, but applying its own number range (so the roll would generate a number 0-99, stun avoidance range would be 0-49, and cast interruption avoidance ranged would be 0-74). As I said, what I read I can no longer find so this is just speculation. same name in-game

i have not found any clear information on this passive. getting frozen also interrupts casts...so will you be frozen and finish your cast? :)

It sure is a weird one.
Do any other keystones, passives, uniques or GGG posts mention "Interuption" or what it counts as? Brutus. Do you even sync? Dernière édition par AnnanFay#3468, le 20 juin 2013 à 00:30:53
